Surrounded by beautiful Tuscan country side, house for rent in the outskirts of a middle age village.

Cetona is a middle-age town in southern Tuscany, easy accessible by train or Highway 1, and only 1hr by train from Florence and Rome. The house is located in the outskirts of the old village, an easy walk from the main square and shops, restaurants and coffee places. It has a big garden with vegetables and fruits, and several decks with outstanding views of vineyards, olive trees and the beautiful Tuscan countryside. There are hiking trails right from the door that take you to monasteries and old churches. The house, built in the thirteen hundreds and completely remodeled, has two bedrooms, one bathroom, two living rooms and a large kitchen. It has a fireplace and it's very quite and peaceful. Ideal for exploring Tuscany, with its old towns like Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Assisi and day trips to Florence and Rome.

Silvia has a beautiful home in the Tuscan hills with a large deck and magnificent views. It offers all amenities (including wi-fi). The house was relaxing and comfortable. Silvia was the perfect host and answered all our questions promptly. We stayed for a glorious week in September and it was such a wonderful place to unwind after the crowds in Florence. Thank you so much to the Puliti family for sharing your lovely home with us. Excellent Ren Duinker 10/18/2012 1:34:00 PM
I stayed in Giancarlo and Silvia's house with my family for 10 days...and I wish it could have been 10 years! Giancarlo looked after us exceptionally well when we arrived and we felt welcome and at home immediately. The house is charming and comfortable and Cetona is the perfect base from which to explore both Tuscany and Umbria. My sincere thanks go to Giancarlo and Silvia for sharing this wonderful place with us. Excellent Lynette 5/17/2012 1:22:00 PM
I rented Giancarlo and Silvia's home in Cetona for the month of April 2012 and loved every minute of my stay there. Cetona is a lovely town in a beautiful part of Tuscany, and the house and its situation are breathtaking. On one side is a magical view of the Tuscan countryside; on the other the equally enchanting town itself. The house is spacious and comfortable, the gardens beautiful, and the view amazing. I was able to work outside on the terraces during April and it was delightful. The village itself is vibrant and warm, fun and friendly, even to those whose command of Italian is terminally shaky. The walks on the surrounding hills are incredible. Cetona is within an hour or two of Rome, Florence, Siena, Orvieto, and Montepulciano, so it is ideally situated for those who wish to explore the area, though to be honest I had such a lovely time in Cetona that I forgot that I wanted to see all these places. Anyone who has an opportunity to stay in this lovely house and town is very lucky indeed. Excellent EN 5/7/2012 9:25:00 PM
My wife and I have had two very enjoyable holidays in Silvia and Giancarlo's villa in Cetona. On each occasion we spent one month there and everything was more than we expected. On our first visit we met with Silvia and Giancarlo who warmly welcomed us and provided us with heaps of local information. We found the house to be well equiped with all amenities, very comfortable and homely. We loved it. The views from the terrace towards Mount Cetona overlooked olive groves and cypress trees so typical of Tuscany. Meals on the terrace were always something to look forward to. The local shopkeepers in the village were always friendly and helpful and assisted us with our very limited Italian. Cetona is ideally situated to explore the delightful towns and villages of the region and day trips to Rome or Florence can be easily achieved by rail from Chiusi. In summary if you are looking for a holiday in a traditional hill top village in a typical Tuscan landscape then we unreservedly recommend Silvia and Giancarlo's villa. My husband and I spent a month here in May 2010 and had a wonderful time. The apartment if full of character, very spacious, stylishly and simply furnished, well-equipped (great kitchen and bathrooms!), immaculately clean on arrival and there are fantastic views of the Italian countryside (and Galileo's house) from all the front windows. It was the perfect place to get some work done (good desk/internet connection, etc) while also tying in some sightseeing. The area itself is very attractive and peaceful, with some good walks and a useful shop to buy milk and basic provisions. The bus into the city centre, which stops right outside the apartment, is also useful for those who don't want to walk. The walk itself is a good 40mins or so but the scenery is beautiful the whole way, with some superb views of Florence. Silvia and Giancarlo were a pleasure to deal with and did all they could to ensure we had a great time. We would definitely stay again if our work schedules ever allow. Highly recommended! Thank you.
