Ideally located at metro Jussieu where 2 metro lines cross, one going North/South, the other East/West. But everything in the center easily accessible within 30 mn walk maximum.
One block from the botanical garden Jardin des Plantes, one block from the Roman Arenes de Lutece and Jussieu University. Less than 10 mn from food street market, lively rue Mouffetard, Paris Mosquee and its little garden café, IMA and riverbanks with another public garden. A bit further, 15 mn walk will take you to Boulevard Saint Michel/Saint Germain, College de France and Sorbonne University, Notre-Dame. Cross the river and add 5 mn and you are at Hotel the Ville and on the right bank. Whole area very safe.
The apartment boasts 17 square meters that look like double as it is cleverly arranged to offer all confort and lots of closet space, double wardrobe, lots of drawers, desk, bathroom closets. Small but complete and separate kitchen with convection/microwave oven, toaster, all crockery, linen, small size dishwasher, 3K washer, everyting. Bathroom has toilet, closet under and above sink, shower with glass door, radiator, hairdryer, scale (for people but also useful for luggage).
Main room has marble bistrot table, 2 folding chairs, folding coffee table, quick fold-out bed (opens lenthgwise, no hard metal bar under your back, you can leave bed linens in) with latex mattress. TV/VCR...
Big window with rooftop views, lots of lights and blinds for the night.
Nice 17th century building, studio located on 7th floor, no lift, with friendly English speaking gardienne, overlooking building garden, rooftops view with glimpe of Notre-Dame towers. Quiet and secure building, off main street.
All utilities included. Also included are internet connection, telephone calls to U.S. and Canada (including cell phones) and all E.U. countries, Japan... (landlines only), cable television (over 100 channels in different languages including English). Heat and electricity, fan provided in the summer (the apartment is never too hot or cold, it is the last floor so no noisy neighbour above, but not directly under rooftop).
I live 10mn walk away and will be happy to assist if help needed and explain the area. I have lived in many different countries and know the needs of travellers as well as how to recreate a complete home away from home which I try to apply to my little studio.
The pictures are a bit old, it was repainted and recarpeted 2 years ago and I hanged a beautiful modern painting of Montmartre in the main room. But basically, the colours are the same and the apartment looks the same.
