Our apartment is located in a renovated ‘altbau’, in the heart of the city, in a quiet, and very convenient neighbouhood. It offers all the modern amenities and is pleasantly furnished and creatively designed. It is on the mezzanine of a building built in 1875 and therefore has the high ceilings and large windows. As a great bonus, we have a large terrace and quaint private garden/yard as well.
The flat is split in the following way:
- big entry hall
- modern kitchen with funky breakfast area
- modern bathroom; separate toilet
- living room 30 m2, with dining table
- master bedroom on a separate level
- second bedroom 20m2 (right now equipped with kids’ beds)
- walk-in closet under the master bedroom (8m2)
The master bedroom is perfect for 1 person or a couple.
Our apartment is located just behind the Karlsplatz in Vienna’s 4th district and is a 10 minute walk to all major sights and shops. As well, the nearest Underground station (U1, U2, U4) is a 5 minute walking distance. We live in a fantastic, quiet neighborhood with all amenities just outside the door.
I am a lecturer in the English Department at the University of Vienna and I am heading to the University of Toronto to complete an M.Ed in International and Development Education for a semester with my kids. So my husband will remain in the flat in Vienna. |
