SUMMER! July-mid Aug: Quiet studio, big garden, mins to campus and shops

Refers to listing # 109313 I stayed at this place during my summer semester at UC Berkeley from May to August and I have absolutely loved this place. Location: it is located on a quiet street in North Berkely, a very elegant part of the city that is sort of mid point between Gourmet Ghetto, where all the nice restaurants are and University Ave. where most of the main bus routes go by. Transportation: as a follow-up to the first point, getting to and from UC Berkely and other areas like the Fourth Street and Berkeley Marina is very convenient with multiple buses. It is about 10 min. walk (no hill) to the University Ave. where you can find most of the main bus routes. Neighborhood: the neighborhood is quiet and safe with many nice cafes and restaurants and Trader Joes and Safeway are just around the corner. This makes it a breeze to grab a take out or make a quick dinner at home. It is also close to quality yoga and spinning studios. Apartment: the apartment itself is a gem and suitable for one person who is studying or needs a quiet space to work. It is situated at the back of a house next to a nicely maintained garden. It is fully furnished with a very well equipped kitchen (gas stove and oven plus two different coffee makers), a proper bathroom and a comfortable double bed. The host is nice enough to have furnished the house with most things that you will need for a short term stay, including double sets in sheets and towels and other kitchenware/tableware. Host: the host live close to the property and is responsive to questions and requests. She also puts in tremendous efforts in maintaining the garden and the laundry, which are the shared/common areas used by tenants living in the other two apartments. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this apartment. The apartment is tastefully designed by the host so it feels less like a rental but more of a home away from home. To give an example, on the first day of arrival, there were fresh flowers on the study desk - these gentle touches make the stay experience much more memorable and pleasant. I would heartily recommend this place and also the host.
