He worked in high-tech but loves making toys. I was a linguist but love to garden. This is a granny unit on the lower floor of the house. We have always rented the granny unit to U. C. students and associates. But this time we ourselves are not in the main house. We are in India looking after aged parents. We won't be back for a year or more. The main house is currently rented to a lovely young family with just one baby. There is not much leaking of sound between the two units. We have installed noise-absorbing panels into the ceiling. The apartment is 490 sq ft and fully furnished. Apart from furniture, it has towels, sheets, pots and pans, plates. The fully equipped kitchenette has a fridge, a stove and oven, a microwave, a a toaster, a hood, and a dishwasher. The bathroom is large and has a tub and a shower. The living room has a view of the Bay Bridge. You will share some of the large backyard with the upstairs renters. There is plenty of space for you to eat and work outdoors in California sun with views of the back garden, the bay and mature trees. $500 off if rented for minimum two months in the summer of 2024
