Hi! We're Maggie, Nile and Harrison (and Odin, the dog.) We're off to live in NYC for the month of July, and are offering up our place while we're away. The apartment is the first floor of a 2.5 unit multi-family. The house is owned by my parents; they live on the second floor. The third floor is operated as an AirBnB. We share a big, beautiful backyard, with firepit, dining space, and grill, a spacious basement w/2x washer and 2x dryers, and two driveways, each with an EV charger. There is a garage with workbench/woodshop space as well. We have a access to a small but lovely front porch with comfortable chairs. There is very little noise transmission between floors, and the entrances are private. The apartment is a 10-min bike ride from Brown, 15-25 min walk. Three minute drive to Interstate 95, and quite close to dense shops, cafes, and parks. 20 min walk to Amtrak/MBTA, 1hr to Boston, 2.5hrs to NYC. 15-45 mins to beaches, Newport, and other New England summer excellence. Neighborhood is diverse and fairly quiet, though the nearby highway can sometimes create noise. Interior features hardwoods throughout, high ceilings, comfortable and tasteful furniture. Extremely fast fiber internet, A/C window units in every room, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, digital piano, 55" TV, and more. Front Entrance: Foyer with coat rack and shoe storage. Main living/dining area: Dining table with seating for six, tons of windows, most west-facing. Comfortable sofa and chairs, mid-century case pieces. Bedroom 1/Office: Twin bed expandable to king. Standing desk w/Apple Studio Display. Sitting desk w/28" 4K display. Medium closet. Bedroom 2: Queen bed, dresser, small closet. Bedroom 3: Child's room w/twin bed, dresser, linen closet. Kitchen: Fridge w/ice and water, garbage disposal, dishwasher, gas stove and oven, small microwave. Bathroom: Small w/bathtub and shower. Basement: Shared storage space, W/D x2, no fee to use. Backyard: Gas grill, outdoor dining area, patio, small lawn, fire pit w/ample wood. Car: We will only be taking one of our cars with us to NYC, possibly none. We are open to letting you use a car for the month; TBD pending insurance, experience, etc. Dogs and kids are OK, though multiple or very large dogs may not be great. Cats are fine, though we may ask that an additional fee be provided for professional cleaning, as we are allergic. Four people maximum, a couple sharing one room and one person in each other room. All potential guests are subject to interview/vetting by the house owners (my parents). We're looking for quiet, responsible, professionals who will care for our space and enjoy everything RI has to offer.
