The Akazienkiez, Schoenberg, former home to Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie, is a lovely, leafy area with wonderful independently run shops, bookshops and restaurants. A short stroll from Winterfeldplatz and its famous market, you can also visit the place where Christopher Isherwood lived and where the film Cabaret was made. Exceptionally high standard, yet inexpensive Italian, Asian and French cuisine - Lenzig around the corner does the best schintzel in Berlin. This elegant, high-ceilinged apartment can sleep 3 people and has a generous balcony overlooking a giant walnut tree with a resident red squirrel. Very friendly neighbourhood where you are bound to fall into conversation with one of the customers lining up for award winning coffee in Double Eye Cafe. Close to universities, libraries, museums, galleries and the atmospheric Kurfuerstendamm shopping area. A 2 minute walk away from the Eisenacher Strasse U-Bahn. Very safe and comfortable for cyclists with bicycle lanes and lovely flat streets! The rent of 2200 euros per month includes lighting, heating, wifi, water and all other utilities. The house is a quiet one. No parties allowed and slippers worn indoors to minimise sound. One months deposit will be required in advance.
