This home was built in 1907 and was designed by the most prominent local architect of his day, Joseph Royer. It is a Prairie Style house and features large windows, hardwood floors throughout except kitchen and baths, the first floor has origina quarter sawn oak trim and doors. We started the restoration of this home when we purchased it in 2004. It has new plumbing, new high-efficiency HVAC, new kitchen and baths. In addition it features a large front porch, a brick patio with table in rear yard, and a lovely second story porch with roll-out awning. It is currently configured as a three bedroom (each large with walk-in closets) and a study. I am removing my books and this room could also be used as a bedroom - very nice with direct access to second story porch. Each of the bedrooms is a corner room with two windows. The rooms are spacious. The 3rd floor is reserved for storing our personal items. The basement has a separate apartment with separate entrance which originally served as maid's quarters. There is a laundry in the basement.
