I’m subletting my top-floor (4th floor no elevator) studio with two skylights (a large one in the bedroom and a small one in the bathroom) and two windows through which you can see the Manhattan skyline! It has a 3-seater sofa bed by Bludot (US) that flips open into a queen-sized bed (with a 3-inch wool mattress pad on top), a dining table with a bench and two chairs by HAY (Denmark), a bar table with two stools and shelves by Vitseo (Germany). You can see the Empire State Building while seated at the dining or bar table (not pictured as too difficult to capture). The kitchen has all new appliances, including a gas stove with an oven and refrigerator. The bathroom has a small skylight with all marble walls and floors. It's 5 minutes by foot from some of Dekalb's best restaurants and parks, including Evalinas, Colonial Verde, Walters, and Fort Greene Park, which has a farmers market. If you want to cook, it's 5 minutes from 2 different grocery stores and 10-15 from Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Wegmans. And if you need to do laundry, it's 5-minutes by foot from a few laundromats and dry cleaners. This small but well laid out and organized studio is best for someone that likes the quiet and minimal life: traveling light, living on a tree-lined street (closed in the daytime to cars), waking up to trees swaying, birds chirping, and the sun shining through the skylight and windows. I have 2 rooms you can choose from as I'm not there a lot. Both rooms are small and can fit a full bed, small table and dresser or two. They both have small closets too. The difference is one has a twist-open skylight and small circular flip open window and the other has two larger rectangular flip open windows. It has large European style flip-open windows. They both have small closets. Neither rooms are furnished but will be soon. The living room is furnished with a dining table, dining bench, 4 dining chairs, 1 and 2 person sofa, and more. l'm open to both short-term (1-3 months) and long-term (3-12) rentals. In the Summers both rooms are available. From fall to Spring only one is available and I'm there 3-4 days a week. Currently, I'm renting one room to an early 20s male who works from home and will be moving on August 31st. He's a recent Boston University graduate and now a healthcare professional. He's been very respectful and responsible. After August 31st I'll be looking to rent to someone who's in a graduate/PhD./Postdoc program or in their late 20s/30s, respectful, responsible, and clean. Rent includes electric, internet, heat, hot water, water, sewer, refuse, and snow removal. There's no reserved/private parking but there's street parking in front of the apartment which is on a small quiet side street.
