beautiful, large 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of Amsterdam

Our home is in the very heart of Amsterdam. It is in a quiet neighborhood but at walking distance from central station, the national maritime museum and the city zoo (artis). After some construction work, it’s now the place where we feel most happy. On entering the apartment (3d floor), you will find one big living space with an open kitchen, a study room, and a toilet; on the second floor, you’ll find our bedroom, a second bedroom that we use as study space, a spacious bathroom and two small terraces. It's ideal if you want to work from home and you need a quiet space (although you might hear the occasional monkey from the nearby zoo). From where we live, it's a 15-min walk to Nieuwmarkt and a 10 min walk to the Indische buurt ( the Indonesian quarter). The apartment has those typical steep stairs that you often find in central Amsterdam. They will keep you fit. It won't be super easy to come up with big suitcases, but it's been done before :). We live on what used to be an island, called De Kadijken, a wonderful neighborhood full of 17th century warehouses. You will find a supermarket just around the corner. Our neighbors are a couple owning the lower floors of the house who very much enjoy the quiet vibe of the neighborhood. We hope to find a tenant who respects their quiet life: loud music, parties etc. are not allowed.
