Barcelona-London home exchange: Luminous, airy and spacious loft in Barcelona with a large private terrace

The apartment:
Our home is a beautiful, light-filled and spacious 1.100 sq. ft. loft, modern and with a confortable, easy living vibe. It is accessed through a huge open plan living room, with a dining area, library and a highly flexible office space. The kitchen is well-equipped and features integrated appliances and a dishwasher. There is a separate laundry room in the terrace with a washing machine. The master bedroom includes a king size bed and large wardrobes for plenty of storage. The bathroom has been recently refurbished and has now a walk-in wet room shower.
All amenities and fittings are modern. There is air conditioning for cooling and warming needs in the main living space as well as additional heating provided by radiators installed all over the apartment.

The Terrace:
Barcelona enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers and, most importantly, lots of sunny days regardless of the season. The large terrace, full of beautiful plants, allows enjoying pleasant breakfasts in the morning and evening meals outdoors, accompanied by a gentle breeze during the warm summer nights, or simply savouring a relaxing read in the shade. The plants’ maintenance requires minimum work —there is an automatic drip watering system and contracted gardening service.

Location
The apartment is located on the top level of a two-story singular building in the high side of the lively and enchanting Gracia district, between two parks, Parc de la Creueta del Coll, with a summer shallow bathing pool, and Park Güell, one of the major works of Gaudi in Barcelona. Both parks are less than 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment.
Local transport is within a three-minute walk to El Coll Metro station and a twelve-minute walk to Vallcarca Metro station, for fast access to all of Barcelona. The apartment is conveniently situated off the city centre for quiet rest at night, but close enough to enjoy lively and exciting Barcelona right away. Any train departing from both Metro stations reaches the heart of the city —Plaza de Catalunya— in 15 and 8 minutes respectively.

Local conveniences.
There is a supermarket, a greengrocer and a bakery with a wide variety of freshly-made bread and pastries, which can be enjoyed at the premises together with a cup of coffee, just within a three-minute walk.

We are looking for a full year simultaneous home exchange Barcelona-London starting October 2018. Dates can be flexible (to some extent). A 9 month exchange could be also considered.
