Beautiful two bedroom 1820s stone cottage in Oxford
The stone cottage was built in the 1820s and features a sunny South-facing beautiful garden. The house contains working wood fireplaces; but also a modern gas heating system (you can control it with a phone app). It has been recently renovated inside, with wooden floors and new furniture. There is high speed internet, a dishwaster, a washer etc.
The house has two bedrooms, a large kitchen, a living room, bathroom (including bath), two conservatories, a shed, and a bike shed. It is a 20 minutes cycle from the centre of town. There are also local buses every few minutes; and coaches to London and Heathrow every 15-minutes from a stop at the end of the street.
There are shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The wonderful Shotover oldgrowth forest is also only a few minutes walk away (good for running or strolling).
While it is still fairly close to central Oxford, the Headington Quarry area of the city has a small-town community feel to it. We have some nice local children- and dog-friendly pubs a short walk away. And the streets are very safe and walkable. The streets also have ample parking on them in case you have a car.
