Beautiful apartment right in Amsterdam city center

Next to the central station at 300 meters, a completely furnished studio apartment with all relevant amenities. University of Amsterdam within walking distance, Free University some tramstops or metro stops away. And you can always bike! It is luxuriously designed and fully equipped. In its 43 m2 you will find a kitchenette with amongst others refrigerator, dishwasher, combined microwave oven, Nespresso coffee machine and water cooker. There is a separable bedroom with kingsize double bed. In the separate bathroom is a toilet, rainshower and bath. The apartment has floor heating and in summertime floor cooling. It has 2 french windows. We have had only very good experiences with renting out, and that has always been mutual. We do require information and recommendation of your academic affiliation here. The neighborhood is busy, but the apartment is very quiet in a residential building where people respect one's private space. We will provide all linen and towels, you will have to do the washing yourself. There is a washing machine and dryer that we will share in good coordination, we live upstairs. Basic cleaning will be performed at irregular intervals, usually twice a month. We do require a 2 months deposit and ask you to sign a contract.
Please: no pets, no smoking, no parties!
The room exceeds our expectation, the only thing missing was the hair blower. The location is very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the apartment is situated in a less crowded area (across from the canal) and yet close to where all the actions are. The room was very clean and most of the things were either new, sealed, and/or in very good conditions. Even when you are bit germophobic nobody minded to use the stuff provided in the room, such as the water boiler, toaster, packages of cream, etc.., everything must be in excellent condition. The pillows were very comfortable as well. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We do not hesitate to recommend the room at your place to anyone. Everything surpasses our expectations.

The couples are so so so so nice and friendly, they are both local Dutch people. The apartment is very clean and cozy with the big bath room, and located in a great place where you can walk to Amsterdam Central Station just in 5 minutes. But the environment is very quiet, you won’t heard any noise in the apartment. The couple prepare the map of Amsterdam and tourist guide for me, and they will provide you any useful information you want to know about Amsterdam , what make me very surprising is a lot of cooking tools are available that you will use for daily life. You can buy the fruits and meats and cook for yourself. How amazing!!! So if you are first time visit Amsterdam, I strongly recommend you live here. I really enjoy the time staying here for two weeks. Just let me feel like home. I hope I can stay here again for next time. And I feel so happy that I have the chance to meet the hosts during the time abroad

The hosts were fabulous! They were available and unobtrusive. They provided clear directions to the apartment and met us upon arrival. They had stocked the kitchen with a few things to eat and drink, which was very appreciated! There was a folder full of tourist information available for our review and use. The bathroom was like a luxury spa and the Nespresso coffee machine was a treat for me! Location was perfect for sightseeing and easy to get to from the train station (which is a short ride from the airport).

Enjoyable stay in a wonderful apartment with superb hosts. We have completed 10 holiday flat rentals and this was the best so far. This private apartment shares a common lobby with the host’s apartment and is new, super clean (thank you!), and comfortable. It is a 5-8 minute walk to public transport (Central Station) and is halfway (walkable) to the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, which makes it an ideal location for pre- or post-cruise visits. Quiet building/neighbors (upper-class residents) and with only moderate traffic/train noise if you open the windows. The kitchenette is sufficiently stocked for cooking meals and the large refrigerator is terrific. The hosts are excellent, highly-educated – very friendly and genuinely concerned for their guest’s comfort. Rather than simply renting an apartment, we feel we made new friends by staying here.

The hosts were wonderful. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The bed was so comfortable! They were constantly trying to make my stay more comfortable and offering me tips to enjoy the city. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. It is within walking distance to most everything and all of the trams are near central station which is a 5 minute walk. I couldn’t have been happier with my stay here.

This is a new apartment in a new building. It has new and modern furniture which I liked a lot. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you ever need. The bathroom includes new shower and a tube. In addition you can enjoy some food products. Amsterdam central station is just a few minutes walk, there you can use all types of public transport if you don’t intend to walk. For the internet users , the Wi-Fi is very fast. And of course the hosts are perfect, they will help you immediately if you will need. In conclusion I highly recommend the apartment. Tip: Try the restaurant on the 7th floor of the public library (next building).

Fabulous apartment in very heart of Amsterdam – in my opinion best option to feel the city and relax. The hosts are very nice and caring hosts – we felt ouselves like at home. They provided us a lot of assistance in our weekend so it was unforgettable. Thank you very much. Higly recommended.

Hosts were fantastic, helped us get settled, shared some local eating places, and offered all the help we could have hoped for. Very nice. They even texted to check on us during our stay. We use Airbnb all the time, and this was the nicest place we have ever stayed in! Very easy to get to in Amsterdam, and perfectly suited for tackling the city on foot.

Patrick Melton, Los Angeles, May 2014
The apartment is wonderful, it’s exceeded all our expectations. The flat is big, comfortable and situated in a very good area – it’s very close to the city center, but not crowded with tourists. It was a pleasure to meet the hosts. They are very smart, pleasant and obliging people. Hope one day we will meet them again.

The hosts are AMAZING! I can’t stress enough how pleasant our stay was, especially due to their warm hospitality and incredible apartment. The apartment is *right in the center* of Amsterdam! All the furniture is virtually brand new. The bed is extremely comfortable, great shower and bath. Super fast WiFi, TV and coffee maker made our stay even more enjoyable. Nina was so kind in showing us around the city on our first day and pointing out good restaurants, bars and stores. On our last day we even met the hosts for a drink. In conclusion, you would be extremely fortunate to have booked this apartment and to have met these awesome people. I know we did :).

My husband and I spent Jan-May 2017 in Martien and Nina’s marvelous apartment in Amsterdam. Martien and Nina are fine people, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location is perfect - very close to trams and trains, and easy walk to everything in central Amsterdam. The building is new, and the apartment is furnished simply in an eclectic mix of modern and country pieces with sufficient storage and everything you might need. The view is awesome. We fell in love with Amsterdam, our apartment, and Martien and Nina - we will be back!

I just finished a 3 months stay as a visiting, van der Waals Professor at the University of Amsterdam, spending time at NIKHEF, which I enjoyed immensely. Along with the fantastic academic environment at the University and the Institute, the stay at 129, Oosterdokskade contributed equally to making my stay in the Netherlands so enjoyable. The apartment is very comfortable, well furnished. Martien and Nina are very friendly and hospitable. It was a pleasure interacting with them and living in the apartment. The proximity to the city centre, the central station and the Albert Heijn just two steps away made my life very comfortable and enjoyable

About Me
My wife and myself live in a brand new apartment in the city center of Amsterdam, in the midst of the public transport web, next to central station. Sofar we have virtually always rented out through direct contact with the university. The apartment is excellent to get to by car, parking garage in the basement. I have been working in academia for 25 years, was professor of health care evaluation and later of neurology. I made an important decision to leave academia and spend my days in clinical health care in a general hospital. No regrets! We have travelled a lot, lived in the US for over a year but love to be back in old Amsterdam. Within our apartment we have a smaller apartment for our guests. There are no neighborly noises, only when talking in the hallways we hear one another. We have had a regular flow of visiting professors who virtually all have been very pleased with the facilities. We prefer to rent out once or twice a year, for a minimum of 3, perhaps 6 months.
