About Me
Marquina Iliev-Piselli is the Digital Marketing Director at RiffleBooks.com and an independent author-marketing consultant at AuthorpreneurLaunch.com. Through her online courses and coaching, she helps authors feel empowered, not overwhelmed, by marketing. She studied sociology, german language, and dance at The University of Michigan and ten years later received her Masters at Columbia University in Educational Technology. Marquina is also a breast cancer survivor who volunteers for the Young Survival Coalition in NYC. During chemotherapy treatment, she created a photo project with her friends, photographer Casey Fatchett and makeup artist Eden DiBianco. The resulting fun and upbeat Glam Chemo photo series was featured in People Magazine. Marquina is writing her first Nonfiction book: 'Grin and Air It: How I crushed cancer with attitude + air guitar' with her Mom, who is currently going through treatment for colon cancer. During her Mom's chemo, the mother-daughter duo also decided to 'go glam' and turn an oftentimes negative experience on its head by dressing up, dancing, and air guitaring.
