Retro With a Twist in Ascot Vale

This 50s villa provides stand-alone accomodation and is probably the closest boutique accommodation you'll find to Flemington's finish line, being a 10 minute walk (or stagger) to The Showgrounds or Flemington Racecourse. The retro villa is located in a quiet street close to public transport with buses to Moonee Ponds and Footscray/Williamstown at the end of the street, a mere 2 min stroll away. Trams to Melbourne or Highpoint Shopping Centre are close by in Union Road. and it is just 20 mins to the CBD by public transport and 10 minutes to the Footscray campus of VUT. A recent visitor reports the cycling time to University of Melbourne is 15 minutes.
This two bedroom self-contained villa isn't your typical white-bland Ikea look-like accommodation. The villa has been creatively styled for easy and cosy living, with a mix of design aesthetics from Victorian to retro, in an eclectic display that celebrates our collecting passions. Work out which rooms reflects the theatre director and which has been themed around the garden designer. Renovated as our own accommodation three years ago, the roomy villa has all mod cons. We have since moved into the original bluestone and brick Victorian homestead and are right next door if you need any additional help or advice on the area's attractions.
The villa accommodates 4 adults. There is a comfortable double bed in the front bed-sitting room. The separate and full sized kitchen/dining room contains microwave, fridge/ freezer, combination gas and electric Smeg oven, range hood and all necessary facilities including Bluetooth iPhone/smart phone player and complimentary WiFi. A peaceful bedroom contains a Queen bed and linen, wardrobe and TV and air-con. The spacious bathroom contains a shower, plus a European laundry with washing, drying and ironing facilities. On street parking available throughout the year (no permits required for festival days). However if you have specific parking needs let us know as off-street parking may be arranged.

We have a minimum of 2 nights stay, and can accommodate longer tenancies, with prices negotiable for longer stays.

Normal check-in is 2 pm with 10am departure, but these times may be changed to accommodate your travel arrangements. Please contact the owners for additional information.

This is a non-smoking property and it is not pet-friendly. Free parking is available in the street at the front of the property.
