Beautiful Fully Furnished Family Home in Onetangi, Waiheke Island, Auckland New Zealand

Our very comfortable fully furnished and equipped 4 bedroomed home is ideal for a family on a quiet one way street. We live 12 mins walk through bush from one of the best beaches on the planet and are surrounded by native forest with gorgeous views out over the Gulf Island of the Pacific. The address is 16 Hobson Terrace, Onetangi, Waiheke Island but is accessed from the road above at 51S Trig Hill Road. For just NZ $600pw

The house for rent has 3 levels and is set on a sloping section. The top level is a single bedroom with outstanding views. The next is the main living area with a large double bedroom, bathroom, entrance hallway, dining room, lovely wooded well appointed (6 element induction stove) kitchen and lounge, the next level TV room, single child's bedroom and the main bedroom with on-suite. The large kitchen is very well appointed with a huge oven and induction range. We love to cook so you'll find everything you need.

Our Honda Jazz car can be made available with the house you just have gas it, repair and service it.

The neighbours are very friendly and helpful although our home is very well screened from visual intrusion and the area is extraordinarily quiet at night. The home is mostly in wood with white walls in most rooms. The beds are very good quality and comfortable. We have easy maintenance wooden floors. Dog pets welcome but not cats because of the wildlife around the bush clad valley. The garden is maintained.

The valley is full of bird life including the rare brown parrot the Kaka. Waiheke has wonderful cafes, vineyards and beaches as well as a very active community spirit.

Electricity costs about $150pm and landline phone and high speed internet $100pm. For a rental of NZ $680pw these costs will be covered by ourselves. The electricity includes the spa pool which is permanently heated and a wonderful way to finish the day. The Piano is tuned and good to play. The printer is a colour laser jet.

Everyone walks into our warm home and says what a lovely home. Furnished with taste and a wooden decor throughout. We have a wood stove which heats the main area and a heat exchange unit for the downstairs. There is enough wood supplied for the wood stove although its seldom needed as the house is so sunny and warm.

The house is accessed from the road above at 51S Trighill Road with ample off road parking.

About Me
I am 65 and a Retired Regional Park Ranger and Biosecurity Officer having managed Whakanewha Regional Park on Waiheke Island after 16 years. I have a Zoology BSc Hons from Leeds University and was a secondary school teacher for several years. I worked for the Department of Conservation in Whanganui for 7 years. I now run a company Cut'n'Paste Weed Gels making environmentally friendly weed control products. My wife is 60 and a Psychotherapist on Waiheke Island. We are planning a year's touring holiday in a Mobile Home in Europe to spend time with friends and family. We are deeply interested in meditation and peaceful coexistence with all life.
