This home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1,515 square feet and was originally built in 1902. It was completely remodeled in 2009. It was designed to maintain its old world charm while providing modern day amenities. This home is one block east of downtown Austin. It is bright and airy with ten foot ceilings throughout, vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and many windows for natural lighting. A mere five blocks away from Austin’s famous Sixth Street entertainment district and within walking distance to fine dining, coffee houses and art galleries, it’s easy to say that this home is in a fantastic location. Did we mention that the University of Texas at Austin is a short 1.5 mile jaunt where you can enjoy all of UT’s athletic events? If you are coming to Austin for a convention, you’re in luck! This home is a short five minute walk to the convention center.

If you are looking for a “Leave It to Beaver” neighborhood, this may not be for you. If you are noise sensitive, you should know that this house is just half a block from I35. From the master bedroom, you will hear the traffic at a low level. Bring your ear plugs if that might bother you! About Me
I am a long time resident of Central East Austin in Austin, Texas. I grew up and went to school in El Paso. This is a property that my husband and I remodeled about six years ago. My passions are real estate, remodeling, building, wine, travel and volunteering. I would consider myself a moderately experienced traveler. I visited Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, England and Scotland in the late 80's. In my adult years, have traveled to Rome, Paris and surrounding areas. Central and South America have my interest these days and I have enjoyed Guatemala, Costa Rica and Chile. My favorite places I visited last year in the US were Santa Barbara and Carmel. Gorgeous views! Austin is an amazing place to live and give. I've been active in my East Cesar Chavez Neighborhood Planning Team, volunteer with Austin Junior Forum at non-profit organizations who help women, children and the elderly and am an avid supporter of literacy in at-risk populations.
