Incredibly quiet 2 bedroom attic with terrace 5 minutes walk from the beach

This cozy second floor apartment is conveniently located in a residential pedestrian side street in Poble Nou and has a rooftop terrace. Being in a pedestrian street that only neighbors access, the apartment and the terrace are incredibly quite and private. It's nevertheless minutes away from restaurants, bars, shops in la Rambla de Poble Nou and it's a few blocks from the Icaria movie theater (where movies are shown in their original language) and metro stop: Llacuna. Universities like the Pompeu Fabra, University of Barcelona CETEC, BAU Centre Universitari de Disenny or the Institute for Advanced Arquitecture of Catalonia amongst others, are just steps away.

Several beaches are also minutes away from the apartment.
The apartment is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms, one big living room, a kitchen with a sitting area and a fully renovated bathroom. There is also a washing machine, a dishwasher and a microwave.

You'll be having the real neighborhood experience while being just 10 min away by metro from downtown Barcelona. Poble Nou is a vibrant and interesting place that feels like a little town within the city.

Our apartment has different bus stops just at the end of our street. The closest metro station (Llacuna) is only 5 minutes away. The yellow line will take you right to the centre of the city (3 stops).

We have a nice terrace with some plants. We would love if our guest could water them regularly (daily during the summer months)

My wife and I just spent three month's in Charo's apt in Poblenou. Charo was a more than considerate landlord and quickly took care of any minor maintenance issues as they arose. (Example: the washing machine broke down -- she quickly had it replaced with a new one that was better.) She was also scrupulous and very fast with all financial transactions and gave very useful suggestions about the neighbourhood! The apt is precisely as pictured; the only exception is the bathroom (toilet, sink, shower & washing machine) which is small but modern and very clean. (Like the rest of the neighbourhood, there is no clothes dryer; everyone hangs things outside to dry.) The AC was great in hot weather and the heating was good in the winter. Note that the fig tree on the balcony produces edible figs! You can also believe precisely what she says about the location; it *is* just a few minutes walk from the beach, it *is* on a very quiet street with quiet neighbours, there *are* literally dozens of shops, cafes and restaurants on the Rambla de Poblenou which is only 2 blocks away. (You'll love it!) The metro is only 2 blocks away and the bus stop is at the end of the block; ideal! But we preferred to walk (20 minutes or so) to many useful places; the Glories Shopping Centre, the Palo Alto market, the university (UPF), the Zoo, Cuitadella Park, even the Sagrada Familia! I stayed at Charo's apartment for 6 months. Even though I never met her in person, she was a very reliable host from the beginning to the end. She always replied quickly to emails in case any issues arose. The apartment is located in a quiet street close to Rambla del Poblenou and very close to the beach. It has a spacious living room with an attached kitchen, two bedrooms (the small one is without windows though) and a small bathroom (small tub with shower). The little rooftop terrace is gorgeous. Heating and airconditioning are both working adequately. Overall, I had a great stay there and can absolutely recommend this place!. Excellent Harald Fadinger 7/29/2017 6:43:00 AM
Charo’s apartment in Poble Nou was just as it is described; a wonderful place to stay in Barcelona. We found the apartment very comfortable, quiet, well fitted-out and attractive. The bed is comfortable, water pressure fine, and there’s a striking view from the shower window. The aprtament is located in a delightful precinct. Charo helpfully referred us to excellent restaurants and bars nearby, the more we looked the more charming and rewarding the precinct became. The apartment is easy walking distance from the Poble Nou Ramblas and surrounds, with lovely restaurants, bars and other shopping, including local food markets and supermarkets, and walking distance also from the Metro Line 4. We were there on holidays for a little over 4 weeks and enjoyed exploring Barcelona on the variety of public buses, also easily accessible and frequent nearby the apartment. The apartment is also easy walking distance from Bogotel beach where we swam most days; the weather in mid-late September was perfect, the water clean, warm and beautiful for swimming. Both public and private bicycle hire is available nearby, and the terrain and traffic (light in Poble Nou) ideal for bikes. The Poble Nou Ramblas are lively an interesting, there seems to be a festival of some kind popping up at every opportunity, Catalan cultural activities are well represented. Central Barcelona and all the popular tourist and traveller destinations are easy to get to on public transport and it seemed to us ideal to be living a little removed from the intensely built up tourism precincts of central Barcelona and the gothic city. We have just completed a wonderful two month stay in Charo's apartment. The location was perfect for us with easy access to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. There is also a choice of bus routes and a metro line nearby. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well-equipped and has a lovely sunny terrace. We communicated with Charo by email and everything went smoothly. We had a completely hassle-free experience and hope to return in the future. Excellent KAL 6/4/2016 1:39:00 PM
My wife Monika & myself stayed the month of Sep´15 inhabiting Charo´s lovely apartment. It´s a wonderfull location, in terms of neighborhood especially regarding accessibility to beach, rambla poble nou & metro/bus - everything in walking distance. Charo often responded to mails within minutes too, a perfect host to deal with - In words - Excellent! Excellent MiWi 10/20/2015 8:13:00 AM
