Spacious, bright, and renovated 135m2 3-Bedroom Apartment next to Arc de Triumph, Barcelona, Spain

Our home is a fully renovated (2018) bright, 3-bedroom/2-bath 135m2 top floor (elevator accessible) apartment with a fully equipped open kitchen and a spacious dining/living room with high ceilings. It also has an quiet separate office.

The apartment is quiet (with minimal street noise—very hard to find in Barcelona), well-lit, and comfortable, with central heat and AC.

The apartment is located in the center of Barcelona, in the Sant Pere/Santa Caterina/Born neighborhood of the Ciutat Vella (Old Town) next to the Arc de Triumph and one street adjacent to the Eixample neighborhood. Within minutes’ walk, you will find plenty of restaurants and cafes, grocery/market options (including the Mercat de Santa Caterina), shops, children’s playgrounds, two parks, and more. Nearby sights include the Arc de Triomf, the Eixample and its modernista architecture, Passeig del Born, Museo Picasso, Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, Palau de la Musica Catalana, the Zoo, and many other cultural, historical, and architectural landmarks. It is also a 20' easy walk to the waterfront and beach.

The Born and Santa Caterina/Sant Pere neighborhood (sometimes collectively called La Ribera in guidebooks) has a beautiful, romantic, vibrant city setting, and the adjacent Barceloneta (with beach) and Barri Gotic neighborhoods are 10-15 minutes walk from our apartment. Most nearby streets have only limited automobile traffic and are practically pedestrian. There are plenty of old, narrow streets to explore, as well as open plazas full of cafes with outdoor seating.

We are situated close to bus lines and the metro (5 minutes from Arc de Triomf and Jaume I stops; 15 minutes walk to Placa Cataluyna, a hub for almost every metro and FGC line in the city). The Estacio de Francia train station is a 15' minute walk. Taxis are easily hailed just outside our door. The neighborhood is very pedestrian and kid-friendly.

We are looking for people to stay during the 2021-20212academic year since we will be away.

Many thanks in advance!
