Spacious 3-Bedroom Apartment (Born) across from the Ciutadella Park, Barcelona, Spain

Apartment:
Our home is a 3-bedroom/1-bath apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with high ceilings. It looks out onto the Parc de la Cuitadella and the modernist architectural landmark, the Castell dels Tres Dragons.

One bedroom has a double-bed. The other two bedrooms are equipped for a small child and infant, but we can modify as needed for older guests. The apartment is quiet (with minimal street noise—very hard to find in this neighborhood), well-lit, and comfortable, with central AC.

Location:
The apartment is located in the center of Barcelona, in the Born neighborhood of the Cuitat Vella (Old Town), overlooking the Parc de la Cuitadella. Within minutes’ walk, you will find plenty of restaurants and cafes, grocery/market options (including the Mercat de Santa Caterina), trendy shops, children’s playgrounds, and more. Nearby sights include the Museo Picasso, Arc de Triomf, Passeig del Born, Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, Palau de la Musica Catalana, the Zoo, and many other cultural, historical, and architectural landmarks.

The Born and Santa Caterina/Sant Pere neighborhood where we live (sometimes collectively called La Ribera in guidebooks) is an absolutely beautiful, romantic, vibrant city setting, and the adjacent Barceloneta (with beach) and Barri Gotic neighborhoods are 10-15 minutes walk from our apartment. Most nearby streets have only limited automobile traffic and are practically pedestrian. There are plenty of old, narrow streets to explore, as well as open plazas full of cafes with outdoor seating.

We are situated close to bus lines and the metro (10 minutes from Arc de Triomf and Jaume I stops; 15 minutes walk to Placa Cataluyna, a hub for almost every metro and FGC line in the city). The Estacio de Francia train station is a 5 minute walk. Taxis are easily hailed just outside our door. You would have absolutely no need for a car here (it would in fact be a great inconvenience to have one). Barcelona is a very safe and kid-friendly city.

THE APARTMENT IS ONLY AVAILABLE DURING THE DATES MENTIONED (MARCH 2016, AUGUST 2016).
