About Me
Kenneth N. Raymond began his faculty appointment at the University of California at Berkeley on July 1, 1967. There he remained, appointed Chancellor’s Professor in 2006. He served as Vice Chair of the Berkeley Chemistry Department (1982-1984 and 1999-2000) and Chair (1993-1996). He has received many awards and honors, including election to the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He and his wife have four children, three of whom live in the Bay area. Members of the family speak English, German, French and Swedish.
