Our lovely Crafstman-style home is located within a 10-minute bike ride to the UC Berkeley campus. While we're on a very quiet little street, there is a taco truck, soul food restaurant, and non-profit nursery just around the corner, and a large park with tennis and basketball courts one minute away.
The home has two bedrooms; a full bath with tub; sunny living room with functional fireplace; formal dining room; bright, spacious kitchen with a breakfast nook; laundry; hall closet; and locked bike storage in the basement. The original hardwood floors, coved ceilings, picture molding and built-ins had me sold the moment I saw it, and the kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated true to the house's character (but with copious storage and outlets). Basically, it's cute as heck :)
The tables in the front, back, and side yards have great Wi-Fi and just the right amount of shade for outdoor work-from-home. An outdoor outlet makes movie nights a breeze on a projector. Raised beds have rosemary, thyme, za'atar, meyer lemon, keffir lime, jalapeno, and lemongrass (to name a few), and space remains for any green thumbs. The backyard is occasionally used by the resident of the garage ADU, but he mostly keeps to himself.
Level 2 EV charger is installed in the driveway!
I prefer a 12 month lease, but will consider renting for shorter time periods.
