Walking distance to everything - 2 bed/ 1 bath sunny townhouse w/ deck,backyard,hardwood floors

Townhouse style 2 story duplex unit located in a quiet, established, centrally-located neighborhood. Walking distance to UCB campus, and close to highly rated schools, parks, and shopping.

Lots of natural light and gleaming hardwood floors. Great park-like backyard with large redwood deck and patio has lots of room for entertaining. This 900 sq ft home was built in 1927 and has been extensively updated, lovingly maintained and is sparkling clean.

The first floor features the living room with fireplace and new Smart TV, formal dining room, and updated kitchen with new appliances. Recently remodeled bathroom with linen closet is downstairs as well.

The second floor features 2 bedrooms - the larger bedroom has a queen-sized bed and standard size closet. The second bedroom overlooks the garden, has a large closet ,lots of sunlight and a choice of either one or two twin beds. One standard double-size bed is also possible.

Hardwood floors and freshly painted throughout, sunny, with lovely views of the garden and Berkeley Hills from the second floor. The unit is completely furnished, including linens and kitchen equipment – all furnishings are in excellent condition and well-maintained. This is a full-time rental unit and you will not have to share space with the owner’s belongings.

The large redwood deck is accessed through the kitchen door, with private seating areas for each of the duplex units. Serene, beautifully landscaped backyard and brick patio is shared by both units, as well as the building's laundry room and covered bike rack. The renters in the other duplex unit are quiet, respectful, and careful to practice social distancing procedures.

Wifi and utility services are provided -renters are required to reimburse owner for cost of monthly gas/electric use

Located on a quiet, tree-lined street walking distance to Bart, grocery stores, cafes, and downtown Berkeley. One mile safe walk or bike ride to the UC Campus, with easy public transit. You won't need a car, but there is plenty of free street parking, no permit required, if you do. Zip Car is an easy walk away, and Berkeley's extensive bike paths are one block away.

This friendly neighborhood has a mix of young families and established residents. Families enjoy San Pablo Park and Grove Park, both offering playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, soccer fields, and picnic areas. The South Berkeley Library is a quick stroll and next to a delicious Sunday brunch spot at the Thai Temple. Coffee is close by at Mo Joe Cafe or grab some lunch at Homemade Cafe. Berkeley Bowl is very convenient for groceries too!
Residents here live a commuters dream close to the Ashby Berkeley BART station on Ashby Street, and a quick stroll to the Transbay Bus line J, convenient for those who work in San Francisco. With a Bike score of 99, it is a bikers paradise with a Designated Berkeley Bikeway on California Street.

Rebekah was great to work with. She helped me find a short term rental in Berkeley while I was still back East. Even did a walkthrough on her cell phone with me. Everything was as expected and ready when I moved out to Berkeley - she handled everything with the owner of the apartment. My security deposit was returned promptly when I moved out - even sent me a second check when I accidentally ripped the first on.
