Beautiful, historical, very centrally located luxury apartment in Berlin with garden (note: reduced rent over prior listing)

Beautiful and quiet apartment with garden in Kreuzberg (1 April-30 June 2019) 3 BR- 165 m² (Bergmannkiez). Minimum stay: one month. Rent: 3000€ for one month; rent negotiable for longer stays.

A beautiful, tastefully furnished, large altbau apartment with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a very large kitchen and a garden with a large terrace. The apartment is located in a building dating from the 19th century in a formerly Jewish colony, has hardwood floors, old doors and tiles, and a large storage room. The building’s architecture and the apartment’s interior are strikingly unique and nostalgic.
Both bathrooms have a shower. In addition, the larger bathroom has a large bathtub which comfortably accommodates two persons as well as a large sauna for up to four people. Containing a shower, a sauna and a bathtub, this bathroom offers a perfect SPA experience. The ‘play room’ located in front of the bathroom and opening up to the kitchen has a rowing machine for physical exercise, a dart for fun and a library offering a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction, travel books and atlases for the mind and soul.
Located in the centre of the apartment, the kitchen has high vaulted ceilings in original brick stone and a large island with bar stools ideal for breakfasts and cocktails with guests. There are four bedrooms. Three of these will be part of the rented space; the fourth will be used for storing some of our personal belongings while we are away. Which of the four rooms this will be can be decided according to the guests´ needs. One of the bedrooms is a study/guest room containing a very comfortable queen size sofa bed, a large desk and a library. The second room is a brand new and tastefully decorated baby room for our new born. The third is the master bedroom containing a king size, oriental bed. The fourth bedroom is our teenage son’s. It has a high bed, sofa, wardrobe, TV and an electric piano. The large living room is full of colours and offers a very cosy atmosphere for dining, watching films, listening to music and reading. Its painted walls are decorated with paintings and old maps. The room has, among others, an elegant and very comfortable corner sofa, a beautiful wood dining table with a bench seating up to eight people, and a stereo with a large collection of CDs, and a large TV. In the ‘sun room’ facing the garden, there is a second desk which offers an ideal working space.
The four bedrooms and the living room all face east and get direct sun until mid-afternoon. The living room opens to the large terrace which is located in the garden, and the master bedroom opens directly to the garden via romantic steps. The terrace has a large dining table which seats up to six people, a BBQ, a large umbrella to shield against the sun in bright days and a fire pit. In the garden, there are two sunbathing chairs and a birdhouse. Neighbouring the plot of a gorgeous 19th century mansion, the garden is very quiet and romantic, giving the feeling of being on holidays right in the middle of Berlin.
The apartment is fully equipped with a washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, grill, high-speed internet, two smart TVs with Netflix subscription, two stereos (one with Bluetooth), DVD player, landline telephone, and an electric piano.
Although located in the popular and busting Bergmannkiez in the centre of Kreuzberg, the apartment is located in a very quiet area right next to one of Berlin’s most beautiful parks, the Victoria Park. The building has two entrances, one opening to a dead-end street hosting several historical buildings remaining from the old Jewish colony, and the other to one of Berlin’s few uphill streets also containing beautiful altbau buildings. In addition to the Victoria Park and the playgrounds in it, there are several playgrounds on the dead-end alley. The building is just a couple of minutes walking distance from the U6 metro line and several bus stops, the Tempelhof Airport/park and Bergmannstrasse which hosts a variety of restaurants and cafes, shops, playgrounds.
