Charming, Peaceful Home. Furnished. Walk to Everything, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths

This is a lovely Dutch colonial brick home close to everything, yet situated in a peaceful residential neighborhood and surrounded by greenery. Walk to metro and downtown Bethesda with shops, restaurants, farmer's markets, library, public and private schools, parks and more! Close to NIH and Walter Reed. Enjoy the quiet residential surroundings yet accessible to urban comforts. The house has a main level, 2nd floor level with 3 bedrooms and bath, and lower level/basement with family room, bath, utility room and laundry room. The house is fully furnished. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second twin bunks (can be placed up or down), a futon in the family room, and a crib is available if needed. The third bedroom on the second makes a lovely office with desk and bookcases, and can also function as a bedroom with twin bed. The house works nicely for two adults with young children who would enjoy the twin bunk beds. With the full-size futon in the family room it also can accommodate a teenager, nanny, or adult visitors. Amenities include a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, hardwood floors, lovely screened-in porch, good off-street parking, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room with seating for 4-6, Sony TV, high-speed FiOS wifi internet, lots of books and games, W/D, and central A/C. The family park is just up the street, and nearby is a walk/bike trail that takes you all the way into Georgetown, DC. It's been a fabulous home for families on sabbatical, in transition to DC, or remodeling their own home. I have always loved the house, and everyone says it "has a great feel inside and out."

Top-rated public school district: Bethesda elementary, Westland middle school and Bethesda-Chevy Chase high school. Also nearby private schools such as Sidwell Friends, Lady of our Lourdes, French International and many others.

About Me
I'm a non profit professional, formerly with NPR for 15 years and then with a visual art school in DC. I spend much of my time advocating for and working with non profit organizations, most recently with native plant groups. I own a rental home in a lovely quiet neighborhood that is an easy walk into downtown Bethesda. I also live in the same community. I have enjoyed leasing to families over the years needing a temporary home away from home while on sabbatical at NIH or one of the many think-tanks in DC, or professionals on assignment or relocating to DC.
