Charming 3 Br, 2 Ba Perfect Location! Walk to Metro. Furnished.

This is a lovely Dutch colonial brick home, fully furnished includes all utilities and close-in to downtown Bethesda. Yet, this home is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, comfortably surrounded by greenery and local park. Walk to everything: Metro system, local groceries, farm markets, retail shops, restaurants, library, schools, health clubs, and much more! Walkable to NIH and Walter Reed. Enjoy quiet residential streets with all the urban comforts. The house has a main level, 2nd floor level with 3 bedrooms and full bath with tub, and lower level with family/bedroom room, full bath with shower, separate utility room and laundry room. The house is fully furnished. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second twin bunks (can be placed up or down), a futon in the family room, and a crib is available if needed. The third bedroom on the second floor currently is a pleasant home office with desk and bookcases (and has been a wonderful writer's retreat), but could accommodate a twin bed. The house works nicely for two adults with young children who would enjoy the twin bunk beds. The full-size futon in the family room works for a teenager, nanny, or the adult visitor. Amenities include a wood-burning fireplace, all hardwood floors, lovely screened-in porch, off-street parking, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room with seating for 4-6, Sony TV, high-speed FiOS wifi plus Roku device, books, games, toys, full-size W/D, and central A/C. The well-equipped family park is just up the street, and the Capital Crescent walk/bike trail is accessible from nearby (north destination) and from Bethesda downtown (south into Georgetown). It's been a fabulous home for families on sabbatical, relocating, and some remodeling their own home nearby. I have always loved the house, and all my tenants comment that it "has a great feel inside and out."

Top-rated public school district: Bethesda elementary, Westland middle school and Bethesda-Chevy Chase IB high school. Also nearby private schools such as Sidwell Friends, Lady of Our Lourdes, French International and others as well as daycare centers.

About Me
I'm a non profit professional, formerly with NPR for 15 years and then President of a visual arts school in DC. I spend much of my time advocating for and working with non profit organizations, most recently working with native plants in the Chesapeake region. I own a rental home in a lovely quiet neighborhood and an easy walk into downtown Bethesda. I also live in the same community. I enjoy leasing to families needing a temporary home while on sabbatical at NIH, universities, or think-tanks in DC, as well as professionals on assignment or relocating to DC.
