This is a cozy Dutch colonial house, fully furnished with all utilities included. It is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood with a well-equipped local park, and is close-in to downtown Bethesda. Walk to everything and enjoy all urban amenities and services: Metro system, groceries, farm markets, retail and coffee shops, restaurants, banks, library, schools, health clubs, and much more! Walk to NIH and Walter Reed. Bike to NOAA Silver Spring campus. House features a main level with living room with fireplace, separate dining room, screen front porch, back porch, and kitchen; 2nd floor level with 3 bedrooms, and full bath with tub; lower level with family room, futon couch/bed, full bath with shower, laundry room, and utility room. Bedroom furnishings include queen bed, set of twin bunks (can be placed up or down), futon in family room, crib (stored away) and dressers. The third bedroom on the second floor is furnished as home office with desk, bookcases, file drawer (great writer's retreat, but can serve as bedroom with a twin bed. The house works nicely for two adults with young children and a place for occasional guest with the full-size futon downstairs. The house is also nice for graduate students. Amenities include a wood-burning fireplace, all hardwood floors, quiet screened-in porch, off-street parking, fully-equipped kitchen, Sony TV, Roku streaming device, books, games, toys, full-size W/D, central A/C. A great family park is just up the street, and the Capital Crescent walk/bike trail is accessible from Bethesda downtown that goes south into Georgetown. It's been a fabulous home for families on sabbatical, relocating, or remodeling a home nearby. I have always loved the house, and all my tenants comment that it "has a great feel."

Top-rated public school district: Bethesda elementary, Westland middle school and Bethesda-Chevy Chase IB high school. Plus private schools such as Sidwell Friends, Lady of Our Lourdes, French International and many others as well as daycare centers.

About Me
I'm a non profit professional, formerly with NPR for 15 years and then President of a visual arts school in DC. I spend much of my time advocating for and working with non profit organizations, most recently working with native plants in the Chesapeake region. I own a rental home in a lovely quiet neighborhood and an easy walk into downtown Bethesda. I also live in the same community. I enjoy leasing to families needing a temporary home while on sabbatical at NIH, universities, or think-tanks in DC, as well as professionals on assignment or relocating to DC.
