About Me
I am a retired elementary school principal. My interest are: reading, traveling, politics, gardening, flower design and volunteering. Over the course of my teaching career, I taught ESL to students from high school, middle school and college. My students came from around the world: Latin America, Cambodia, Rwanda and Japan. Living on Beacon Hill in the heart of Boston is an ideal location, especially now that I am retired and no longer have a car. Boston is a walkable city. I can walk to the museums, colleges, theatres and hospitals where I volunteer. There are many restaurants, cafés, shops and theatres in my neighborhood and I am fortunate to have all this vitality outside my door. My four children and five e grandchildren are a joy and spending time with family and friends is my top priority.

Carol is a great host, a very nice and helpful person. She is always ready to help with any problem, to give advice and make your stay as pleasant as possible. She offers a nice small apartment, fully furnished, equipped with everything you may need, perfect for a couple. The best thing is the huge terrace on the rooftop with a splendid view of Boston. The location of the place is absolutely perfect for a person who loves staying in the center of the city. The place is located right downtown Boston, vis-à-vis the Boston Common, next to shops , restaurants, cinema, theater and historic sites, which enables you to undertake a variety of many activities. The T (underground) is nearby as well, taking you in about 15-20 min. to Harvard Square. We stayed in Carol's place for almost 3 months and we enjoyed every single day. We highly recommend it.
