2 BR, 2 BA fully furnished house near CU campus (utilities included)

Fully furnished house close but not too close to campus. Ideal for visiting university professor or professional working at any of the Boulder government labs. Not within the "student ghetto" area north of Baseline and west of Broadway. This house is in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of campus and labs. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants at Baseline and Broadway (tunnel under Broadway). Also close to Chautauqua Park, hiking trails, Broadway bike path (year round easy access to downtown), Denver/Airport buses.

There are two bedrooms, each with en-suite full bathroom. The master bedroom has a cherry queen bed and cherry desk, lateral file and cabinets for a small office setup. The small bedroom has a full (double) bed and small desk. The Japanese bathroom (pictured) has a six-foot soaking tub. The kitchen has an eat-in table for four and direct access to the outside deck space with barbecue and table seating eight.

We have rented out the house for the past five years for the full academic year -- this is the first time we are offering it only for the spring semester. Previous tenants have included a physicist and his wife from an east coast space lab, a couple from Spain/UK (he a geologist, she a higher-up in the EU bureaucracy), an economist and his wife (both professors) from San Diego, a Dutch recipient of the Marie Curie Fellowship (and a true "rocket scientist"), and a visiting scholar for the Center for Western Civilization, Thought and Policy at CU.

Sorry, no pets (family allergies), no smoking.

PLEASE NOTE: The back half of this house is "locked off". The owners have a second home in nearby Summit County, and travel extensively, but may be in Boulder from time to time. They may use the rear part of the house, which has a separate entrance. The laundry room is a shared facility, which can be accessed by both parties but with locking doors on each side for privacy. The garage is also shared -- each party has one parking bay, plus there is a place to store bikes, snow tires, etc. Each side of the house has its own furnace and thermostat. Utilities include high-speed internet but no cable (can be arranged with Comcast as a separate item).

About Me
My wife and I have lived at this address for over 30 years, and raised three boys in this home. We both come from academic families as our fathers taught at the University of Hawaii and Arizona respectively. Our kids are in college now and we are retired, so renting our house out (we have a second home) makes sense for both reasons.
