My wife and I have been very pleased with our stay at Sophie and Francois' place for the past nearly two years. We originally booked this lovely apartment very near the Jardin du Luxembourg for one year but decided to stay an extra nine months. The apartment is very comfortable and is exactly as described. The neighborhood has every thing needed within a five minutes walk and its proximity to the center of the Latin Quarter, Rue Mouffetard, the Sorbonne, Place Italie, the Jardin de Luxembourg and Jardin des Plantes make it a delightful stay. The apartment itself is very well laid out for entertaining guests, it is equipped well, and the kitchen is arranged very neatly for cooking. As advertised one only needs to open the kitchen window to hear pleasant music emanating from across the patio out of the conservatoire around the corner. Francois and Sophie responded very quickly and kindly to any help we needed. An extra bonus is the very helpful and kind concierge. She has been a treasure for our stay. The highlight of the area for us was the near daily walks to jardin enjoying the activities, the art and the daily scenes of relaxing in a gorgeous parisian setting.

I spent 7 wonderful months in this sunny and spacious apartment and enjoyed every minute of the time. The apartment is well equipped and elegantly decorated; I stayed during the winter months, and the heating for the whole building was superb - i was never cold!. M et Mme Bel were very helpful hosts and made everything clear for me. The area is beautiful, being a stone's throw from the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, and Rue Mouffetard, which is a great street for traditional food shopping. This apartment is a real treasure and will suit the most discriminating of searchers. Thank you Francois and Sophie!

My wife and I have just spend three months in this beautiful and charming apartment and everything was perfect, the owners, the location and the apartment itself. Sophie and Francois are lovely hosts who showed us around, introduced us to the area, helped us with many difficult things (not least parking) and more pleasant questions (book shops and literature to read). The location is perfect. Very close to all the places on rive gauche, academic and touristic but still slightly removed so that you are living in a suprisingly quiet and untouristic corner of the Latin Quarter. Just around the corner are busses, Metro and RER - the connections to both airports, Orly and Charles De Gaulle, are fast and easy (just RER B - five minutes from the apartment and 30-40 minutes train-ride). The apartment itself is lovely and beautiful - just as it looks on the images posted. Many thanks Sophie and Francois.

As a Fulbright Research Scholar during the 2015-16 academic year, I rented an apartment at 11 Rue des Feuillantines, 75005 Paris, from Sophie and Francois Bel, from August to February. I had an exceptionally good experience. The apartment is in an elegant, historic part of Paris; "the Fifth Quarter". The building was safe and secure, and the other tenants were young, professional families, who were always polite and courteous. The building guardian was very sweet and helpful in all residential matters. The apartment itself is an elegant place, complete with working amenities, and a quite inner courtyard, lined by garden plants and trees. I was always comfortable receiving guests and traveling family members at the apartment. Sophie and Francois were great landlords. They took time to introduce my wife and I to the neighborhood, showed us important locations, and helped me purchase a French cell phone from the local La Poste (French equivalent of the Post Office). Sophie and Francois were careful to explain the French laws that govern tenants/landlords, and they were always available for advice, help and a friendly word. My wife and I can recommend this location with highest praise.

The only noise you will hear from your bedroom is faint opera singing from the Scola Cantorum. Yet steps from your door is the Jardin de Luxembourg, Rue St Jaques, Rue Moftarde and the ENS. good sized rooms-- even kitchen and bathroom are tolerable by American standards. Landlord always available for problem solving. No cable TV so you'll never forget that you're in France and step in something nasty on your way to the boulangerie in the morning.
