Victorian house in Bristol with lovely sunny garden to rent

This house is a semi-detached, 2 double bedroom Victorian House in a very peaceful location just five minutes walk to the 'best independent high street in the UK' - with local shops, cafes, restaurants and everything you might need. Walkable to Bristol Uni and five mins from the regular bus line to UWE.

The house itself is light and airy with a large bathroom (rainfall shower and free standing bath) and new kitchen (with a great range for cooking on). The bedrooms are two doubles - the first is a very large room with superking bed. The second is a good double which can be used as an office, second bedroom or guest room.

Downstairs there is a bay window sitting room with two sofas and a large comfortable armchair next to a wood burning stove; a separate office/dining room with piano and view over the garden; and a modern kitchen diner. There is also a small conservatory/boot room, for either warm summer days or for storing boots, bikes and things.

Outside there is dedicated parking space for two cars which is very rare in the city. There is a large garden for Bristol with mature trees for holding a hammock. There is also space for growing your own vegetables if you like that sort of thing - if not, it is low maintenance.

The neighbourhood is great. It is quiet, friendly and near everything you might want in the city. You are an hour from great hill walking in Wales, half an hour to the Severn Coast, and just an hour and a half on the train to London (people do commute).

About Me
Hi - I'm an academic at the university of Bristol and will shortly be heading off on sabbatical to Sweden for a couple of years - so am looking for someone lovely to rent my house while I'm away - for one or two years. A bit about me - I work in the area of educational futures, looking at the implications of social, technological and environmental changes for education - from schools and universities to adult and informal education. In the main I have worked in the UK, but have given talks all over the world. I'm currently looking specifically at the role of the university in relation to climate change. I'm hoping to be a friendly and helpful person to rent from - and have lots of information about Bristol and the local area that I can share as I've been living here for 20 years. It's a gorgeous city and I'm sure you'll have a great time here.
