Carriage House on Coolidge (Side Unit/Furnished/Utils Incl.) (Available for June 2019 Rental)

Located in a converted carriage house, this charming duplex apartment is fully furnished and situated in a lovely, quiet New England neighborhood. The apartment has a private entrance, and looking at the picture of the house, the apartment is located on the left side and back of the house and has a separate entrance off the deck and garden area. The home is located on a hill, so the bedrooms are downstairs, but still remain above-ground.

Conveniently located less than 5 miles to Boston’s financial and shopping areas, it is also a short walk to Coolidge Corner, the Longwood Medical area, a wide variety of shops, coffee shops and restaurants, parks and public transportation. Also convenient to area academic institutions, Cambridge, the Western Suburbs and the highways.

Lay-out: The first floor contains an open floor plan with a kitchen-dining area (20'x13’). It has antique maple floors and the kitchen is fully equipped.

I am the proud owner of a converted carriage house located in Brookline, MA, not more than 5 miles from Boston's financial and shopping districts, the Harvard Medical Area and many of the Boston/Cambridge area's finest schools and universities. My home is adjacent to the apartment, so I am assessable if there are any issues, and am available to provide information about the area.

I've just moved out of the Carriage House apt, and I already miss it! I rented for the academic year, and it had all I needed to have the most productive sabbatical ever. The apartments is very comfortable and well-maintained. Everything I wanted/needed was within walking distance including a great indie movie theatre. The bus and T stops were very close. I like to cook, so the well-equipped kitchen was a closer for me. I felt very safe being there (woman alone). The landlord was friendly and considerate. I thought I might regret not being in Cambridge since I was working @ Harvard, but I got much more value and better quality of life. Totally happy with my choice! I lived in the back apartment unit of the Carriage House for 12-months while attending graduate school in Cambridge. The apartment had everything I could have needed and much more. The home is quiet, comfortably furnished, well-heated and cooled, and felt very safe for a young woman living on my own. I have yet to hear of any other space that offers the amenities of this for such a price, including ample space, an option for parking, washer/dryer, private porch area... and more! The street, while offering the aesthetic of a residential neighborhood, also has the convenience of lively Coolidge corner, the MBTA and bus short walks away, and easy entrance to I-90. Carolyn is incredibly personable, thoughtful, and flexible with logistics, and treated me much like family during my stay. I moved out-of-state for work, but would have happily continued renting without a second thought. Highly recommend! Excellent lesleygraduatestudent 9/29/2017 9:14:00 AM
My husband, our young daughter and I lived in the carriage house for a summer. It was a great experience. The home is very well cared for and had all the amenities we could want. Our favorite part was the deck right outside the front door that was a great place to eat, relax and play. Carolyn was very available for any questions or needs and immediately fixed any problems that came up. The neighborhood is fantastic. We had very friendly neighbors and delicious food, all a short walk away. We had a wonderful time here. Excellent Susanna 10/8/2014 2:35:00 PM
I lived in this unit for the academic year, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The location was perfect-- very safe with easy access to bus, Green Line, and Hubway. It is also located near Coolidge Corner with lots of shops, restaurants, Trader Joe's, etc. The unit was fully furnished including all dishware, and it was very clean and cozy. The landlord was exceptional and responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Overall, I could not recommend this unit more highly! Excellent BethG 7/13/2014 10:13:00 PM
I lived in this unit for 9 months over the past year and could not have had a better rental experience! The landlord was extremely responsive to any issues (very few). The unit is located in a friendly and safe neighborhood of Brookline but just a block away you get to multiple restaurants, shops, and cafes. Additionally, public transportation (C line and 66 bus) and the Hubway bikes are easily accessible. The unit was well suited for myself and a roommate (one room is a little small, but ultimately worked out well). The house is fully furnished (including all kitchen items and bedding) and complete with washer/dryer. I didn't have to worry about buying anything for the 9 months I was in Boston! Highly recommended! Excellent Ashlin 7/12/2014 4:10:00 PM
