This party posted the following feedback for me:
'A stay in Scott and Melanie's apartment would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Not only is their building quite unique in New York architectural terms, but they have furnished it with eclectic, interesting finds from their extensive travels and the neighborhood abounds with fantastic restaurants. Scott is a master sommelier and Melanie an amazing artist. The apartment is a real home, immaculate cared for and cleaned, and furnished with all one needs for a comfortable stay.'

My husband and I stayed here for a month in September. The apartment is great – comfortable, clean, and well located. The two floors give it a spacious feeling. We especially appreciated the two bathrooms, washer/dryer and the air-conditioner units on both floors. The upstairs bedroom is very comfortable, with an excellent bed and a cable-loaded TV. The downstairs futon couch and chairs were comfortable to hang out in and the futon came in handy when our son visited. The kitchen was well stocked and it was easy to prepare simple meals. We loved the location. Clinton Hill is relatively quiet and a great base for exploring Brooklyn while still having easy access into Manhattan. The C and G trains are close and it’s a short walk to the Atlantic Avenue terminal, where there are lots of trains. Melanie was a fabulous and responsive host. She checked in with us several times and responded quickly to questions. We highly recommend this property and would happily stay here again. Excellent Jane 10/12/2017 5:40:00 AM
Two of us stayed here for four months during the summer. The apartment is lovely--unique, nicely decorated, large, and located in our favorite Brooklyn neighborhood. The photos on Sabbatical Homes show it accurately. Transit access is great. The C is right around the corner, and the G (useful mostly for north/south transit within Brooklyn) is about two blocks away. There are also frequent buses on nearby Fulton St. Melanie is a terrific and responsive host. A minor maintenance issue with one air conditioning unit--there are 2, and they easily cooled the apartment even on the hottest days--was fixed immediately. We have rented numerous apartments in Brooklyn neighborhoods for stays of several months to a year, but this was by far our best experience. One minor negative is that the bathrooms are enclosed by curtains; there are no doors. (The pictures show this clearly, and the bathrooms are also on different floors.) But this is a minor drawback in what is otherwise a fantastic and unique property. Would happily stay here again. Excellent Mark 8/28/2017 7:32:00 AM
Beautiful, spacious apartment decorated in outstanding, unique style and very comfortably furnished. It was a pleasure just to "hang out" in the apartment. Very efficient kitchen area and much appreciated 2 baths, one on each floor. Upstairs bedroom with excellent bed, large screen TV and washer dryer - all very handy and attractive. The couch downstairs allowed us to have guests for a couple of nights, who had their privacy and own bathroom.

Melanie was a fantastic host: always attentive, supplied whatever we needed, very charming and friendly but never intrusive.

Excellent location: Only 1 block to the C train to Manhattan and 10 minute walk to Atlantic Center where you can get at least 5 different lines. 10-15 minute pleasant walk to Prospect Park, Green Point Park (Saturday Farmers' Market there), BAM and lots of good restaurants very close by.
