Sunny and quiet top floor apt. in heart of Williamsburg/Greenpoint

You will enjoy this apt. and neighborhood as much as I do.

The apt. has beautiful hardwood floors, windows in every room and all the walls are painted serene and calming colors which change according to the light. The sun moves through the apt all day and there is plenty of sky as you will be on the top floor. It’s perfect for working at home and furnished with just what you need so it feels spacious and calm.

It’s classic railroad style which means the rooms follow one another so ideal for one person or a couple.

There is a tiled bathroom with tub and shower that has a window for the morning sun during your shower. The bright kitchen has a recently replaced stove and fridge. Off the kitchen is a spacious living room with an L shaped sofa and a dining room table w 4 chairs. The living room is so quiet that you can hear the birds in the big tree behind the back of the building.

Off of the entry which opens onto the living room is a room that can be used flexibly, as a workspace or dressing room with a freestanding wardrobe and chest of drawers as well as built in storage.

Off of this room is the bedroom which is very quiet.

The neighbors in the building are respectful, quiet and trustworthy.

The G Train is right at the corner and the L train Bedford stop is a 8 minute walk past McCarren park. Depending on your commute, it’s wonderful to ride a bike or walk to the India Street or North Williamsburg pier and take the East River Ferry to get to 34th street, Wall street or Brooklyn Heights.

The apt is where Williamsburg and Greenpoint meet and filled with wonderful restaurants, bars, rooftop bars, sidewalk cafes and boutiques. On this block alone, there is a classic diner, luxury ice cream, Polish, Hunan, Venezualan, Thai, Mexican and Catalonian restaurants to choose from. Around the corner is a place to buy fresh fish.

Adjacent to the green space at McCarren park on the corner are running tracks, soccer, baseball fields and public tennis courts as well as a swimming pool open during the summer:

All major banks, pharmacies, shopping, a public library and health clubs are truly at your doorstep. A few minutes walk through McCarren park takes you to the year-round Farmer’s Market where you can buy seasonal and organic produce, tinctures and local cheeses, dairy, bread and meat directly from the farmers/producers.

Bicycles stations ( Citibike ) abound for hourly or yearly membership use and you can ride along the scenic Brooklyn side of the East River on a bike path. The neighborhood has changed so much since I first moved here and there are many green spaces along the river to relax, lie on grass and enjoy the sunset and views of Manhattan and of course people watch.

It’s a great place to live, becoming more international and drawing people to its amenities, hip appeal and its small town within a big city lifestyle-- a wonderful introduction to NYC.

N.b. There is one additional room off the bedroom where I will store my stuff while I am away.

About Me
Hi, I'm a photographer/writer who has moved back to my hometown NYC after 4 interesting years in lovely Vienna, Austria. I got to tick some experiences/places off my bucket list while living there and truly appreciate how Europe is so diverse and precious in all its differences. Through Sabbatical Homes, I had rented my flat in Vienna to a professor from UC at Irvine when he took a position at the University of Vienna. I'm embarking on a personal project that will take me to New Mexico for at least 6 months and up to a year so my sunny apt on the top floor in exciting Greenpoint, Brooklyn is available.
