Gorgeous 3+BR duplex light-filled townhouse for rent

This stunning 2-story unit in our historic Brooklyn townhouse is available from early January through April for a reduced price for the right academic family. The unit, which is in the landmarked Clinton Hill historic district, consists of 6 gorgeous rooms and unusual natural light for a brownstone. An extensive renovation has given it all modern luxuries including a chef’s kitchen, washer/drier, dishwasher, central heat/AC, wifi, wall-mounted big-screen TV, wired sound system and more. A beautiful rear deck and garden (not terribly useful in winter!) rounds out the package. There are 2 full bathrooms, 1 half bath, bidet, bathtub, and 3 bedrooms plus an anteroom off the master bedroom useful as an office or baby’s room. The unit is elegantly and comfortably furnished with six sofas, formal dining room and comfortable TV room off kitchen. Great for a family! Clinton Hill is an amazing neighborhood! One of the most architecturally beautiful and diverse areas of Brooklyn, it has become in the last ten years one of Brooklyn’s most vibrant cultural and culinary districts, walking distance from dozens of terrific restaurants and cafes, as well as Barclay’s Arena, Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Pratt Institute, Theater for a New Audience and more. 15-minute subway ride to Manhattan, about 30 minutes to NYU door-to-door, and also a subway ride from Columbia. Enjoy this opportunity to live in a perfect spot, for well under market value!

About Me
We are an academic couple who work at home in Brooklyn on non-profit and research initiatives. I am an author, researcher and public speaker, who has most recently published a book on the marriage equality movement called "Awakening." I run a research initiative at Columbia Law School called the "What We Know Project" that collects LGBT research with public policy relevance and makes it accessible to the general public.
