Spacious 2BR Apartment near subways, Botanic Garden, Museum, SUNY Downstate

We will be subletting our spacious, warm, furnished apartment in Crown Heights, starting mid-July 2020.

The apartment is located just 1/2 block from the 3 train at Nostrand Avenue, making getting around a breeze. 2,3,4,5 trains all come to Franklin Avenue, 2.5 long blocks away (about a 7 minute walk.) Walk a couple blocks to Medgar Evers, shoot 1 mile straight south on Nostrand on subway or bus to get to SUNY Downstate, or walk 10 minutes along a tree-lined brick walkway to get to the Botanic Gardens to Brooklyn Museum.

Currently we have 2 bedrooms and 2 separate desk spaces set up (one in the formal dining room, one in the living room,) which would be ideal for two professionals who want sleeping and work space, but things can be re-arranged to accommodate any number of arrangements.

Full kitchen with counter-top dishwasher, heat, water, electric and television (with antenna) provided. There is an elevator in the building but it is older and not always reliable. (Works maybe 95% of the time.) Apartment is on the third floor. We also have three window A/C units (one portable) for hot summer months.

Rate includes heat, electric, gas, and internet.

About Me
Colin is a lighting designer and photographer, (graduate of Duke and Yale) Niki is a classically trained singer and sometimes massage therapist (U of Michigan, U of Accra, and DePaul University.) We own and manage three vacation rental houses (in the Catskills and Moab, Utah) and travel between those, Brooklyn, family, and photography destinations for Colin's work. We're looking to replace the Brooklyn portion with someplace out West, thinking about a year's trial move would be wonderful.

I have been renting a two bedroom apt in Brooklyn since September. I will be here until the end of June. The apartment is very comfortable, with great light facing the Eastern Pkway Ave, with several subway lines at a walking distance. The owners have been extremely responsive with minor problems that have taken place, as the need for a new router or a kitchen window that needed to be replaced. I would whole heartedly recommend this place as well as the SabbaticalHomes site. If and when I return to NY I will try to stay at this place again if possible.
