Gorgeous Art-Deco Apartment

It is a very spacious, comfortable, and cozy one-bedroom apartment with a great eat-in kitchen—ideal for a couple. It is my home. I have lived there for 15 years! So you will find it very clean w/great linens, china, and everything you may have at your own home. The bedroom is large, with a queen bed, and so is the original bathroom. The apartment and the entire building are very quiet. It is located one block away from Prospect Park and two blocks from the "F" train. You will find some very good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood, and you are also a few train stops from trendy Park Slope or Smith St. Downtown Manhattan is 20 to 25 minutes by train.

I have stayed in Eva's apartment since August 1, 2016, and am leaving by the end of the year, going back to Denmark. It has been a great pleasure to live here. Cozy place, indeed, very tasteful interior and a lot of space. Well-kept building with an extremely helpful super, Nelson, and nice neighbors. Washing machines and dryers in the basement. Quiet place - which was important to me, because I was working from home. The proximity to Prospect Park meant a lot to me - ideal for picnics, walks, biking, running. Le Paddock round the corner became my favorite local restaurant, but there are several to choose from, and cafés and bars as well. F and G trains run just round the corner, so you have easy access to the Park Slope Area, downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Manhattan - and Coney Island/Brighton Beach in the summer. In all our dealings Eva has been easily accessible, trustworthy, with a lot of humor. No problems at all. I will give this fine apartment the most sincere of recommendations. I lived in Eva's apartment for nearly a year while doing a fellowship at Columbia University. Her home was a peaceful, beautiful and spacious place for me to stay in my first year in New York. The apartment is full of interesting art, and is equipped with everything you'd need. The kitchen in particular is lovely and was remodelled within the last couple of years. The building is safe and well-maintained, and the super was available to help me with any issues that arose. The neighbourhood is predominantly residential, but there are some good local restaurants around (with more opening all the time!) and it is steps from beautiful Prospect Park. I commuted both to downtown Brooklyn and to Columbia and found it quite easy with the F/G trains 3 minutes away. Although Eva was in Argentina for most of the year, she stayed in touch by email and there were no problems getting in touch if we needed to. I highly recommend this gorgeous place!
