Beautiful modern 3 bedroom penthouse apartment, close to Melbourne University and the city

Our beautiful newly renovated 125 square meters penthouse apartment contains a living room, kitchen, laundry, two queensize bed bedrooms, a combined bedroom and study, and two bathrooms each with shower, toilet, bidet and Jaccusi. The apartment is fully air-conditioned through a split cooling/heating system. The living room and study have access to a large 90 square meter terrace facing North and West. The apartment has high speed internet with wireless LAN.

The living room has sliding doors to the terrace and large windows facing North and West with an extendable dining table for 8 persons. It is equipped with a Marantz sound system with B&W loudspeakers, blue ray DVD player, Apple TV, and a 32 Inch TV.

The Kitchen has an induction Miele cook top an AEG electric oven and quiet Miele dishwasher from. It has a large 90 cm combined fridge and freezer and a good pantry space. The laundry contains a Miele washing machine a Microwave oven and lots of storage. Both main bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds. The main bedroom has a walk in wardrobe. The study has a desk with an extra 17” Benq screen, built in wardrobe and a fold out sofa bed and a Samsung printer.

The terrace is stretches along the North side and has a large entertainment area on the West facing part. It has a retractable rooftop with lights. Lights and movements are controlled remotely. The terrace is planted with large pots of climbing plants with an automatic watering system and has a dining table for 8 and a gas BBQ.

There is one secure parking space in the basement, accessible by remote control trough two security gates.
The building has a lift and the entrance door has a new video control opening system and electronic keys.

Situated opposite a park with a small outdoor velodrome on the North side and Merri Creek at the back of the building, there are many opportunities for walking and outdoor activities while being only 6 kms. from the city. Trams 96, 1 and 6 are all less than a 10 minute walk away giving access to Melbourne University, the city campuses of RMIT, Victoria University and ACU. Latrobe and RMIT Bundoora campuses are easily reached by bus 508. There are many great cafes close by and Carlton and the City only 15 minutes away by tram.
All linen kitchen equipment including cutlery and glasses are provided so our apartment would suit a family who are on sabbatical and would like just move in while we are away and enjoy living here as much as we do.

About Me
I am a professor with a research area in Disability and inclusion. My partner is a retired professor of psychology and we have travelled extensively and lived and worked in the Uk, Netherlands, Norway and New Zealand. We now spend half our time in Norway.. Between us we speak English Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and some French and German. We are looking to rent our lovely penthouse apartment for minimum periods of three months - the apartment is child friendly but not pet or smoke friendly so no pets or smokers. We are keen cooks so the kitchen is very well equipped including a range of good books and many kitchen gadgets including a pasta maker. We have a good Cd collection featuring lots of jazz and classical music. we are looking for tenants who would like to rent our home with everything they need in it other than our personal positions, clothes etc which will of course be removed.

Moving overseas with family is a stressful experience. I couldn't imagine spending our first few weeks in Australia confined in a hotel room or at a soulless AirBnb. Staying at Sue's place has been an amazing experience, and has made the transition to our new life much easier. The apartment is spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. We were able to focus on re-establishing our family routines from day one, because we found everything we needed to cook, entertain the children, and many, many books to read during the nights we spent awake fighting jet lag! The location is also perfect - right in front of a large park that connects to a sports fields, a brand new playground for the kids, the velodrome, and the ravine (at Merry Creek Trail). There is plenty to see and do in the neighborhood (check out CERES!), and there's two tram lines less than 10min walking distance from the apartment, that will take you to CBD in 25-30min. Finally, Sue is a pleasure to interact with. She has been responsive to any questions we had about the apartment and made sure we were settled and happy during our stay.
