Bright updated historic Victorian with large backyard

Our updated historic Victorian home boasts bright, sunny rooms and modern amenities including a recently renovated kitchen, a deck for relaxing, three porches and a large backyard. The home is located within walking distance of Church Street, UVM, Champlain College, and Lake Champlain, plus neighborhood restaurants, bars and bakeries. With three bedrooms, a separate dining room, and two off-street parking spaces, the home provides ample space to enjoy everything Burlington has to offer! The home is available furnished or unfurnished.

The home is located at the edge of the Old North End and the University Hill district, a wonderful mix of families, professionals and students. The location ensures that you are within walking distance of both downtown Church Street, Champlain College, and UVM (approximately all 15 minutes). In addition, the neighborhood has many local restaurants (e.g. Vietnamese, Asian fusion, Moroccan, Pizza, and Tacos) and bakeries (one vegan) as well as two local corner stores offering quick grocery shopping and delis. There is a large park with a playground two blocks from the home, which is perfect for kids. A short walk to Lake Champlain and trails in the Intervale and along the Winooski River provide walkable outdoor options. Walking and biking are easy, and we are also located within a few blocks of a bus line that can provide transportation across the region. We are a short walk to the bus terminal downtown, which also brings in buses from Boston and Montreal.

About Me
Meredith and her husband Rob have an updated historic Victorian home in Burlington Vermont. They've been renovating and updating the home for the past three years, and are excited to share their bright home with visitors near and far. Meredith and Rob love exploring new places, one of the main reasons they love hosting and helping others explore the great state of Vermont and Burlington! Meredith is a food systems scientist, working as an assistant professor at The University of Vermont. She studies issues related to food system sustainability so she's always interested to check out interesting food scenes in different places she travels. Rob is a carpenter and handyman who also specialized in custom-built furniture, typically from reclaimed materials, you'll see many of his signature pieces throughout the home.

The house was absolutely lovely. Everything was clean; the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, flatware, and dishes; the yard was great; there were 4 (4!) porches with seating, which was fantastic; there was a brand new washer and dryer; all the appliances were modern; and all of the furniture was clean and comfortable.

The location was also great. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to downtown, the lake, UVM, Champlain College, and downtown Winooski (cute smaller town to the north). There are also two corner store / delis less than two blocks away, great restaurants and bakery/coffee houses about 5 blocks, and parks for kids and dogs within a short walk.

Also, Meredith and Rob were ideal hosts. We highly recommend renting this property.
