About Me
My personal life journey has led me from my hometown Buffalo, NY to Salt Lake City, Utah, to Eugene, Ore., and finally to Seattle. I am the fifth of six children, and very happy to have three older sisters, who taught me much about being both bold and nurturing. I completed a bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis in broadcast management at the University of Utah in the late 70’s, which led to a 20-year career in public and commercial radio. My most memorable time was at KUER-FM, the NPR affiliate in Salt Lake City, where I programmed and produced jazz radio. After moving to Seattle in the 1990s, I continued this career on the fundraising side, serving as Director of Corporate Development for KPLU, Tacoma’s NPR affiliate. I then applied my fundraising skills to preserve some of our state’s most beautiful places, serving as a major donor fundraiser for Conservation Northwest. Looking for greater personal fulfillment, I returned to school and completed the graduate program in counseling psychology at Antioch University Seattle, with a concentration in Child, Couple and Family Therapy in June 2010. Today, as a EFT therapist and couples workshop leader, I find much challenge and joy in helping the people with whom I work come to know themselves, their spouses, their partners and children in more authentic, courageous and vulnerable ways. And I am humbled to walk with them on their path to greater happiness with self and others.
