About Me
I am a clinical psychologist and executive coach with a private practice in Charlottesville and a coaching business in Washington DC. I have worked previously at the University of Virginia as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatric Medicine specializing in the treatment of young children and their families. My coaching work focuses on managers in international financial institutions and UN-affiliated agencies. My personal interests are in traveling and supporting efforts to save endangered species (elephants, bonobos). I recently returned from a trip to see the great whales in Baja, Mexico with the Great Whale Conservancy.

I stayed here with my family for three weeks and it was lovely as promised. The neighborhood is close to Charlottesville (and even closer to the great restaurants in Belmont), but it is itself relaxed and beautiful. There is a sweet hidden park around the block, and it is steps away from the Monticello Trail. We had initially hoped to find a home in downtown Charlottesville or right off campus, but we were so glad to have been able to stay at this one.

My husband and I are both academics, and we found the house has great little nooks for reading and studying. In addition to the office upstairs, there is both a front and back living room downstairs. And there are rocking chairs on the porch, which were nice for early morning or evening chatting and reading.

The home itself is cozy and full of light. There are skylights in two of the bedrooms upstairs, which we enjoyed. If you are light sensitive and like to sleep in, you might want to bring something to cover your eyes. There is one bedroom without any skylights, and we found that to be a perfect place for our children to stay. All in all, we had a great stay there and would happily stay here again if life takes us back to Charlottesville.
