VILLA GOLONDRINA

Jim is an incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating host. Francisco does all he can to help make one's stay comfortable and pleasant. The apartment (ours was the terrace) had everything we needed for a one-month stay. The gardens are beautiful and the pool was warm and clean, even in January. We used it almost daily. Stores are within walking distance, as is Uninter, an excellent Spanish language school. Public transportation is available two blocks away and is very frequent (at most a 5 min wait). Also, taxis are very inexpensive and available.

We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place to stay.

I lived in Cuernavaca decades ago as a teenager when my father took a sabbatical. While researching places to stay for an upcoming trip on the Sabbatical Homes website, I came across Villa Golondrina. Sent a message and the owner, Jim, got back to me immediately. Turns out, he was a professor at the same college as my father. We communicated back and forth and we knew we had to stay there.
We had a wonderful time. Jim is a very gracious host. He loves to share his knowlege about Cuernavaca and Mexico. The property is beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped, and Internet was good. Pancho the caretaker is wonderful. He goes above and beyond in making certain guests have what they need. We hope to return annually.
