Beautiful Home in the Middle of a Magical Garden

¬°Bienvenidos a Casa Sol y Luna!

Our house is in the middle of a beautiful lush garden filled with various fruit trees and an abundance of flowers. This spacious one-story house has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a newly restored and fully equipped kitchen, two dinning rooms, a spacious living room, and a sun room where you can enjoy the garden from the inside. Adjoining the master bedroom is a small Zen Garden where you can start your day reading while listing to the chirping birds. You'll relish the beauty of our zen modernist decor that is stylish and comfortable.

We are an environmentally friendly property. We have a small pool that we've converted into an ecological cistern. We compost all organic material and recycle. Due to all the trees in our home, we have a nice microclimate inside the house so it's always at a perfect temperature without the need of heating or air conditioner. We have dimmers in every lamp in the house so you use only the light you need and are able to adjust the lighting for reading or a romantic evening.

We are centrally located but not in the downtown area. Our house is conveniently located in Colonia Acapantzingo between the major streets of Atlacomulco and Rufino Tamayo. We are close to almost every important historic and cultural destination in town but away from the traffic and downtown noise. The driving distance from our house to the zocalo is approximately seven minutes and walking about twenty minutes. There is plenty of public transportation available in front of the house.

Our extraordinary house offers great interior and exterior places for reading, writing, relaxing, entertaining, and meditating. You will have an unforgettable experience at Casa Sol y Luna!

About Me
I have always been passionate about travel and consider myself a traveler, not a tourist because I delve inside the history, culture and artistic expressions of a region. I am a native of Mexico City but have lived, studied, taught, and traveled in many countries around the world. During my tenure as a professor of Latin American Literature and Spanish Language, I directed several international education programs in Mexico and other countries in Latin American for several American universities. For over fifteen years I relished seeing my students’ transformative growth when they had returned from being immersed in a different culture. My goal has been to replicate this experience with adults who have a sense of curiosity and adventure, and yearn to continue learning, growing, and engaging with their surroundings. I created Meaningful Mexico to continue sharing with travelers from all over the world the cultural richness and creative beauty of Mexico, in particularly San Miguel de Allende.
