Sunny 3-bedroom home set in tranquil sheltered garden, fully furnished

We stayed here for a year during my 1 year sabbatical with my husband and I and 2 children. It was a wonderful experience for the following reasons:

1. John is a kind and welcoming host that helped our adjustment tremendously. He gave us recommendations on everything from grocery stores to sightseeing to the finer details of New Zealand culture. He was always responsive and very helpful in providing information that made our stay easier.

2. There is ALWAYS something blooming in the yard at this property. It was a joy to always see a new flower in bloom with the backdrop of Dunedin in the background.

3. The house is clean, functional, and in a good location. The neighborhood is very quiet and our boys walked to school every day.

We stayed at this place for 6 months and it was lovely. It is very close to all amenities and is only about 10 minutes drive from the Octagon (sometimes less) and also only 5 minutes away from the beach (or about a 30 minute walk to St Clair cafes and beach). The area is very friendly and is nice and sunny. It has a beautiful outlook of trees and an amazing garden which gives a real feeling of peacefulness.

Coming fully furnished, we had everything we needed and the place has character, charm but also modern features.

John was always easy to deal with and helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend the place for short term or long term.

We rented this house when arriving in Dunedin in the middle of the Covid pandemic, and after all the stress of our move, we couldn't have asked for a more welcoming, understanding and flexible host and home.

The house itself is fully set up, with a car that can be hired for a very reasonable fee, which makes things much easier when arriving from overseas. John was incredibly helpful, and went out of his way to get us set up. The garden is a real plus, and is beautiful, especially in spring, and the house is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac which makes it a quiet oasis with lots of birds to peek at too.

I fully recommend this property to anyone coming in to Dunedin, as it makes the initial steps after arrival both easier and more comfortable!

Our family stayed in this lovely home for almost a year, and it was the perfect accommodation for our time in New Zealand. The home is fully furnished and large enough for a family, very comfortable and clean. The garden is lovely, and we were lucky to have vegetables to harvest during the majority of our stay. John is very helpful, prompt, and accommodating, a wonderful landlord. We would highly recommend making this house your home during your time in Dunedin.

Lovely place. Nice garden. The house is full equipped. Lovely neighborhood, very quite and charming. Lovely landlord. He is always willing to help. We will go back if we have the opportunity.

My family rented this house for 6 months in 2018. House is nicely situated at the end of a quiet no-exit road, with many families. The wonderful landlords provided everything we needed and then some to live comfortably in Dunedin and commute to the university. When we arrived the garden was in full bloom, with lots of vegetables and herbs. We even rented their extra car at a reasonable rate and they loaned us bicycles for free.
