Bull City Bungalow Garden

Best location for exploring Duke, downtown, 9th Street and Brightleaf Square. Nine minute walk to a Duke bus stop on Campus Drive. Six minute walk to a great diner, coffee shop, terrific food co-op and to a city bus stop with the free Bull City Connector bus. One mile to downtown or 9th St. Off-street parking. House has two cozy BR, den/office with sofa bed, sunny public rooms, w/d, dishwasher, one BA, kitchen with soapstone counter and has heart pine floors. Our solar-powered 1926 bungalow has a front porch looking out on a garden of flowers and herbs (planted by the owner who's an award-winning garden designer). The back deck has a gas grill and looks out on gardens of fragrant flowers, fruiting plants and patch of woods. [House is within boundary of Duke Van Access (if you're affiliated with Duke): request service online at http://duke.ridecell.com or by calling dispatch at (919) 684-2020.]

We like to travel in rural areas and small towns in the Mediterranean. We also like to WWOOF on farms occasionally. I'm an award-winning garden designer and stone mason and my wife is a book desiger (frequently for university presses). Our motto is Dog Rule #1: Don't postpone joy!
