Access to guest house is level (no stairs).

When we chose Wunderwood we literally landed on our feet. We had only looked at one property and this ended up being perfect for our 36 week stay (including bushfires and lockdown due to Covid-19!).

The property was large compared to other Airbnb units we had stayed in, and well-designed and kitted out. There were large built in wardrobes which swallowed our 3 suitcases and contents; heating and air conditioning; a luxurious power shower (which we miss!); and it was easy to park on the road.

We had access to the garden (and amazing view) but at the same time the property felt secluded from the main house and not really overlooked.

The proximity to the Cooks River, Wolli Creek and several parks was a bonus for exercising and we could easily get buses to head into Marrickville and beyond. Tempe train station was also a short walk to access trains into the city or south.

Our hosts, Chris and Susie, were wonderful and very accommodating, becoming friends who we were sorry to say goodbye to - we will be back.

Would strongly recommend this property for any length of stay.

I had a great stay at Chris and Susan's spacious and sunny studio, which is a peaceful retreat in a vibrant city. Beautifully designed and furnished, the studio is located in a quiet area within walking distance of two train stations providing access to two different train lines (T3 and T4). It is surrounded by a leafy garden with a pool, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Chris and Susan were lovely and very helpful as I settled in, and responded promptly to my enquiries.
