About Me
I am a London-based scholar, who has written extensively on the late nineteenth century cultural world, publishing (amongst other things) - well-received biographies of Oscar Wilde (2018), Aubrey Beardsley (1998) and Walter Sickert (2205). "Oscar - A Life" - was short-listed for the Wolfson History Prize in 2019. I write regularly for the Times Literary Supplement and other periodicals.
