1 bedroom Cottage with garden in Florence, Italy

Recently renewed annex to a Villa, located at 3 km distance from Florence downtown, that can be reached by bus within 20 minutes; the bus stop is very close. The Cottage is at a short distance from the borough of Settignano, one of the most beautiful area on the hills around Florence, .
The place, that can lodge 2 people (+ 1-2 children in case of short rentals), was built in the beginning of '900, and completely restored on 2008, is very comfortable and luminous and, in the respect of Tuscany tradition, has terra cotta brick floor and ceiling with wooden beams on sight. The garden includes a furnished veranda for dinning outside.
As for Academic sites of interest, the Art and Letter Depts of the Florence University are located in downtown and therefore can easily be reached by bus; in addition Villa i Tatti (Harvard University Center for Renaissance Studies) is at walking distance form the Cottage.

This cottage offers the best of both worlds. We loved being close to Florence ( a short bus ride away), but when we wanted the beauty and peace away from the bustling city, we came home to our lovely retreat. The cottage was nicely furnished and immaculate with all of the comforts necessary to feel truly at home. Our host family welcomed us and helped us through some very difficult health problems that came up unexpectedly. Stay at this cottage if you want to truly experience the beauty of Tuscany and the warmth of Italian people. Excellent Nancy Ullinskey 11/1/2011 9:03:00 PM
