Charming spacious apartment available in Santo Spirito
Hello.
I lived in Florence for over sixteen years and Santo Spirito is by far one of the loveliest areas that I managed to find. The street of Santo Spirito is one of Florence's finest with great boutique jewelers, lovely wine bars and restaurants, and marvelous Palazzi now serving as private offices for companies such as Antinori and Frescobaldi.
I used to live in this apartment for a year. Federica, the landlord, became a dear friend during my stay and she asked me when I left, if I would continue to fill the apartment with tenants for her- and so this is what I do.
Federica lives just above the apartment and she does her utmost to accommodate those who come to rent her place. You couldn't find a better place to stay in Florence. Her elderly parents live just below the apartment and they too are wonderfully accommodating and their English is good.
I currently live between Canada and Italy and continue to help Federica with all of the apartment arrangements and communications.
Here is a description of the apartment:

Here are a few reviews from some of our most recent guests:
"When planning my Study Abroad semester, I looked extensively at accommodations and picked this apartment because it was bright, large and well located. Indeed, the apartment has a lot of sunlight (rare in the narrow streets of Historical Florence), spacious and well organized. One of the bedrooms is super large and the other average size. The bed covers are very warm, important during cold months. I was pleasantly surprised by Sharon's assistance and prompt answer to my questions. Federica was also very helpful. The location is perfect and the neighborhood great. I was lecturing at a location on Piazza della Reppublica and it took me about 12 minutes from door to door. There is a good supermarket about a block away and many restaurants around Santo Spirito Church. Given that Florence is a very busy social location, there is some noise coming from the street below, but neither friends who visited nor I had problems with that. I highly recommend this apartment!! I have recommended this place to a colleague who will be teaching in Florence and I will definitely be coming back. "

"Federica's apartment is a wonderful place to stay in Florence. The sixteenth century palazzo in which it is housed brings with it the sense of history for which most people visit Florence. The apartment is comfortable, roomy, beautifully decorated in period mode with hand-painted furniture and doors. It has plenty of natural light and air, with very high ceilings and windows on two sides. The kitchen, though a bit small, is perfectly functional as is the bathroom. The living room is enormous and delightful. The bedrooms are also very spacious and comfortable. The apartment is also perfectly located. All of Florence's major attractions are within easy walking distance, yet because the apartment is just on the other side of the river from the city center, it is quiet and peaceful. There are excellent delicatessens, gelateria, and supermarkets close by, as well as some outstanding restaurants. Our two weeks' stay in Florence was greatly enhanced by finding such great accommodation. It was also very reasonably priced."

"I was lucky enough to stay in this apartment with my boyfriend for two months during last summer and it was just perfect! Firstly, the location couldn't be better. The apartment is in Santo Spirito, one of the most beautiful, artisan areas in Florence. Here we were able to enjoy and absorb the atmosphere away from bustling tourists. The apartment has wonderful high ceilings and the prettiest painted furniture. Every room is light and airy thanks to their large windows. We were both spoiled with space, with the three very large living areas. The Kitchen was quaint and had every appliance and accessory we could have needed. Both Sharon and Federica were so friendly and helpful with anything we needed and left a folder filled with restaurants and hidden treasures of Florence for us to browse through. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and wish to return when we can. Couldn't recommend this apartment enough, really made our stay a pleasure."
