Lovely Remodeled Santa Barbara Home

Our house is midway between UCSB and downtown Santa Barbara in a quiet residential neighborhood where families walk and say hello. Just 4 blocks to a small shopping center with a VONS market, CVS drugstore, restaurants, bank, etc. (You will find a foldup shopping cart in the garage if you wish to walk to the store!) We are just a block from Hollister Elementary School, and San Marcos High School is in easy walking distance. A bike path to UCSB is also just a few blocks. The house was totally remodeled and re-landscaped 6 years ago just before we bought it. From its corner lot, it has lovely sky and mountain views and is bright and airy inside. The living room is comfortable with a 50” cable tv and wood floors opening into the wide dining room /kitchen. The immaculate kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and all the necessary items for stepping into a place to use your culinary skills and entertain. The dining area has a large table that seats six and a leaf to enlarge the seating. A large patio door offers good flow and brightness leading out to the nice patio and back yard where there are also 2 orange trees and an outside fireplace. It is a quiet, colorful, private place to lounge. The spacious master bedroom has a queen size bed, second tv, ceiling reading lights and ceiling fan. It is light and airy with a walk-in closet, connected master bathroom with “his and her” sinks and nice large tub with shower. Another bedroom also has a queen size bed, while the third bedroom has a twin size day bed with a popup trundle, a desk for your computer and a printer. These two bedrooms share a full-size hallway bath. The washer and dryer are in the connected garage which has a double driveway for off-street parking. About us: We live in the San Francisco Bay area but are grandparents of 2 grandsons who live in Santa Barbara. We purchased a completely remodeled home in Santa Barbara in December 2014 where we love to come to visit, to watch the grandboys play sports, and get refueled by the amazing barrage of color in beautiful Santa Barbara (and right in our yard!). For the first 4 1/2 years, we enjoyed being able to share our home through a vacation housing website when we are not there. Some of our best guests have been UCSB clientele and have made that our focus for the last year and a half. Thanks for looking, and we would love to hear from you!
