Our decision to spend a sabbatical year in France was an excellent once, and so was the choice to use Sabbatical Homes. Through the site, we have had the good fortune of staying at this lovely home for a year from August 2014 to July 215. We could not have found a better abode for our year in Provence.

The home itself is just that: a home with a real family oriented layout and a well thought-out space that is at once functional and comfortable. We loved the size of the home as it was easy to maintain while being just enough for the four of us (two parents and two children under 11). The backyard was a gem that combined privacy, sun, pool, our very own fig tree and (much to our children's enjoyment) a trampoline.

Dealing with the lovely owners, Caroline and Jeremy, was a delight at all times. They were both very hospitable, generous, accommodating, and never once let us down in any request as tenants. Caroline was a treasure trove of information and tips, while Jeremy was always available (even from a distance) to help with any questions we had. At no time did they make us feel anything less than welcome, comfortable and dealing with them was a real pleasure.

The location was ideal in that we could walk everywhere for our daily needs, including the schools, the library, local shops/market, etc. It is a safe area and being new, we were soon welcomed into the community and felt comfortable, which was important for our children as they were adapting to a very different year. Driving to/from Aix was a breeze, and we did make many trips to other places with ease. While we had a vehicle, buses ran regularly which was a nice option to have.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay there again if the opportunity arises without any hesitation.
