London N8: Beautiful and spacious 4 bed Victorian house with garden, £750/week

Beautiful end of terrace Victorian terrace house, recently renovated and with excellent transport links (30-40 minutes to the universities in central London).

Downstairs, there is a large open-plan kitchen and living area, which has wooden floors, loads of light and large floor-to-ceiling doors that open out onto the patio and the garden, where there are fruit trees to enjoy (some may be fruiting in June!). There is also a sitting room with original wooden floors and a piano, a small WC, and a hall cupboard for storing coats and bags. The house has central heating with Nest thermostats on three heating loops which can be remotely controlled independently. The kitchen has a 5-ring gas hob, double electric oven, a dishwasher, a American fridge freezer, a microwave, and all cookware and crockery needed.

Upstairs, there is a large master bedroom with a superking-size bed, a large children's bedroom with two single beds, a third bedroom currently used as a study, a fourth bedroom currently used as a dressing room, a luxury family bathroom with bathtub and large shower, and a utility cupboard with washing-machine and laundry sink. The house normally accommodates 4, but there is a queen-sized airbed that could be used for an additional 2 people.

The house is located in a residential neighbourhood just north of Finsbury Park and a few minutes’ walk from Green Lanes. This is a vibrant and multicultural area of North London with a fantastic range of local independent shops, including a profusion of Greek and Turkish restaurants, bakeries selling every possible variety of baklava, an Italian restaurant, Polish food stores, a Chinese restaurant, Indian curry houses, a Jewish bakery, pizzerias and lots more. There is a very convenient small grocery store at the end of the road, and a larger Sainsbury’s supermarket about ten minutes' walk away. There is a park nearby with a children's playground and tennis courts. To the west (about 20 minutes’ walk) is Crouch End, with more independent stores, bars, restaurants, banks and so forth. Also close by (15 minutes’ walk) is the Wood Green shopping precinct, with many high street shops and a shopping mall.

In terms of transport links, the area is very well served. Turnpike Lane tube stop is a ten minute walk away: this is on the Piccadilly Line and so a direct route from Heathrow. There is a train station 5 minutes' walk away which will take you to Kings Cross or Moorgate, and bus stops within ten minutes from which to get bus 29, which goes to Bloomsbury and not far from the British Library, bus 141 which goes to the South Bank and the National Theatre, and bus 41 which goes to Tottenham Hale station from which you can get a direct train to Stansted airport. Fifteen minutes' walk will take you to a bus stop for the 341 which goes through Islington to central London and is convenient for Kings College and the LSE (and, in the other direction, IKEA).
