Set on a quiet tree-lined street in The Hammer’s downtown, 74 West Avenue N. is the perfect choice for academic, artistic, business or medical professionals, visitors or adventurers — anyone seeking an exclusive, short-term stay with all the comforts of home.


THE SPACE:
Part of 74 West Avenue N. — a historical Italianate Victorian home, restored, modernized and hosted by Solomon Allen, we’ve themed this unique space The Retro Moderne.

The Retro Moderne, offers tasteful, high-end decor plus all the amenities of a full private apartment — an extra-large living/dining room with a laptop-friendly workspace, wireless printer, complimentary WIFI and cable TV. There are two quiet and beautiful bedrooms, spacious, sparkling clean, private bathroom, sunny, eat-in galley kitchen with granite counter tops, in suite laundry and state of the art appliances. Basics include heat, air conditioning, electric fireplace and hardwood floors. Anything else you need is just a text away.


GUEST ACCESS:
74 West Avenue N. offers 3 levels of private residential apartments with an elegant black and white tiled shared main foyer and keypad entry. Each unit also has its own unique keypad entry to that space. There is also a separate coach house loft tucked away at the rear of the property with its own private entry.

The home’s front and rear gardens, barbecue and onsite parking are shared.

We give you all the privacy you need and are at the ready to assist with any questions or requests you may have.


OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Cleaning services are available at an additional cost for longer stays. We provide you the contact to our recommended service with no markup. We can also arrange for the service to access your suite in your absence on your behalf, with your permission.

Please also note that we’re in the final stages of finishing on our ground floor suite below. As such, there may be some minimal noise during daytime hours – until around mid-September.


THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:
Historic West Avenue is at the heart of downtown Hamilton. The home is conveniently located between Wilson and King Streets – A short walk or quick drive to The Art Gallery of Hamilton (AGH), FirstOntario Centre (formerly Copps Coliseum), Hamilton Convention Centre, Hamilton General Hospital, McMaster University, Theatre Aquarius and a variety of King St. (main thoroughfare) restaurants, business services, grocers and shops.


GETTING AROUND
Lyft and Uber are quickly accessible should you choose not to drive. There are also several Hamilton Transit options for a low cost of $3.00 just steps away that afford you easy access to notable Hamilton destinations like Albion Falls, beautiful Gage Park, the James North arts hub, trendy Hesse, Locke and Ottawa Streets, Pier 4 Park and Bayfront, Tim Horton's Stadium and major shopping destinations both in Hamilton and adjacent Ancaster.

The Hamilton downtown core is a short walk away. Most local buses converge at the McNab Transit Terminal, and should you choose to adventure farther outside of the Hamilton area, the Hamilton GO Centre is just a few additional steps away.
